Blunt Metro UV Umbrella, Shadow
Compact, convenient, and collapsible, the BLUNT Metro UV has a special blackout canopy that provides a UPF rating of 50+, perfect for those seeking protection from the sun. The canopy fabric blocks 99% of ultra-violet light so you can enjoy being outside without worrying about the harsh effects of the sun. As harmful UV rays are blocked, this also means the temperature under the canopy reduces to keep you cooler. The Metro UV features an auto-open canopy to easily open with the push of a button and collapses back down to slide neatly into the carry sleeve. It's also built with a 360° spinning canopy to avoid damaging the core mechanism when knocked on accident. At 37.5cm in length, you can whip your BLUNT out of your handbag or briefcase for all-weather occasions. Comes with a matching coloured sleeve. Please note, due to the nature of the UV fabric, minor creasing does occur.

Haven't used it much as yet - looks well made and I have another Blunt umbrella - a large one and that has been well worth the money.

I have been a fan of Blunt umbrellas for some time now. They are good quality and durable in extreme conditions. I am particularly fond of my UV umbrella as it can be used for sun and rain protection.

Love my blunt umbrella. Got to try it in strong winds with rain and it flipped but went right back. A bit bulkier than normal and a little bit heavier but so worth it. Cant wait to try it out with the UV rays in summer.
I've had this umbrella for 2 years now but have used it only on a few occasions. Sadly it did not live up to expectations. I bought this mainly for UV/sun protection on short walks to the shops etc. I have a larger umbrella for hiking/longer walking.Appearance: 5/5 Can't complain about the distinctive Blunt silhouette. Looks great and the navy dark and rich.Quality: 1/5 The frame is different from other umbrellas I've had, it doesn't open and 'lock' open but kinda floats. I haven't had any issues with wind so far but it just feels flimsy. Its like I feel the urge to push it up more but this is the design. The low rating is mainly due to the fabric, for something so thick (and heavy) I was expecting it'll be more robust. I recently noticed a hole in the fabric ... The low rating is mainly due to the fabric, for something so thick (and heavy) I was expecting it'll be more robust. I recently noticed a hole in the fabric which I am always careful to put the umbrella back in its sleeve. I don't know how is happened. I've had cheaper thinner umbrellas last years with no damage.Sun Protection: 1/5 the Metro has a 100cm diameter which is just not enough for an average sized adult (I'm actually small) yet I'm finding the umbrella always misses a spot and I'm constantly adjusting the angle of the umbrella just to get coverage over both my arms. I could feel the heat (28 degree day) just permeating around the umbrella so it really wasn't doing much to cool me down.Rain Protection: 1/5 it's so small and the scallop edge design means rain projection is compromised.Weight/Packability: 1/5 for the smallest umbrella in the range it's really bulky and heavy. Forget putting it in a handbag, will need a large tote or backpack.Overall maybe its just not for me but I think this umbrella sells on looks but fails as an actual umbrella. I'm sticking with my EuroSchrim UV (super lightweight) and my basic Woolies golf umbrella for rain.
Very smart umbrella! Just waiting for the rain to give it a good work out.
