Bobbi Brown Skin Long Wear Weightless Foundation - Warm Golden

I've tried many foundations recently and this is my favorite by far. First of all it does not oxidize! I rarely find that quality in a foundation but this is one of those rare exceptions. It's somewhere between a light to medium coverage which is perfect for me. I apply with my foundation brush before using setting powder as it leaves a slight sheen behind on my skin. Not quite dewy, but enough to warrant the powder. I got this to try in 'Warm Golden' which is almost a match for me at this time of the year when I'm at my palest. I found Natural Golden too light and Golden itself too warm. Contrary to the SA's advice I decided not to use a primer beforehand, simply moisturized and then applied foundation. Amazingly perfect foundation

I'm 27 with good skin but with some visible exhaustion and medium (unfortunately visible) pores. Ive used Chanel foundations since I was in high school, then recently switched to Nars when my working mom exhaustion made my skin look a bit dull. It didn't help the issue at all. I finally found my match when I switched to Bobbi brown. I'd already used their priming moisturizer and lip gloss, and was pleased to see that I love the foundation just as much (if not more) than my fave Bobbi products. My skin looks instantly youthful and brilliant - I'm also quite happy with the color spectrum they offer! If anyone were to ever drop the bottle, then post a repulsive photo of themselves bleeding from it, my recommendation would be to take better care of your products. Beautiful finish…

I was recently gifted this complimentary sample of Bobbi Brown’s Skin Long-Wear Weightless Foundation with SPF 15 in the color Warm Almond. The shade range is amazing, though there’s still the issue that most brands have of getting redder in undertone as the shades grow darker. My undertone is very yellow, so this is nothing new for me. For that reason, I chose the best shade match with a slightly redder undertone rather than the shade with the best undertone match that is bit too light. I made the right choice; when I blend it out I need no color correction or concealer to mimic a match, and no bronzer, which I’d need if I’d chosen a lighter shade. The formula is thick but incredibly easy to spread, and a little goes a long way. I prefer it blended out to more sheer coverage but it still minimizes my lighter acne scars and hyperpigmentation. It leaves my skin looking like skin, even if I build it up. The wear lasts until I wash my face (on average, 10-12 hours) with some breakdown around my oily nose, which is always my issue. It doesn’t cake or crack, so I just blot and keep going…I don’t typically have patience for reapplication. Overall, my only real issue with this foundation is the fragrance, but it gets a chef’s kiss for wear. I love the natural look it provides and have been impressed with the longevity. I get home and expect either a greasy or flaky mess, depending on the weather, but all I ever see is a flawless finish.

This foundation is stunning, and I am not a foundation person. I can never find the right shade or texture or coverage level, so I end up wearing nothing or a skin tint. For reference, I have freckles and slightly dry, slightly sensitive mid-30s fair skin that pulls a tad olive (a famously impossible color combo to match). I prefer lighter coverage foundation that has some moisture, doesn't settle into pores or lines or dry spots, balances discoloration without looking like a mask, and leaves a natural finish. This. Is. It. It's the first foundation I've ever found that matches my skin tone perfectly (I got Sand) and looks like I have nothing on, like I'm just having a good skin day. Luckily, this product does not oxidize, even after adding a second layer. Amazing! Sand is billed as a light neutral shade, but it's more fair-to-light with a teensy bit of yellow and olive. And flexible enough to carry me through 3/4 seasons, since it's a lighter coverage product. My new makeup soulmate.

Can see how others love it, but not for me

I always find this such a tricky one, as I know so many people love this foundation and it works really well for them. I just find there's just something about it that doesn't work for my skin. I have oily / combo skin and I don't find that it is long lasting nor helps with oil control - I find that for me I end up quite oily after a few hours wear as it's very hydrating. I also have a lot of redness so I like a full coverage foundation that can cover that up, but also be sheered out in other areas. I definitely find this to be more of a medium coverage on me. With all that said, I can see why some may like it. If you're less oily or have normal / dry skin I think this would be lovely. Wow. This product feels so weightless on the skin but it does wonders. I would say it feels comparable to a light moisturizer yet provides the coverage of a medium foundation, possibly even full if you build up to it. My skin is normal to dry and typically I like to set my foundation with powder because I just can’t stand that sticky feeling on the skin. However, with this foundation, it seemed to dry down to a point where I didn’t really feel the need to use a powder. I haven’t yet used a product that felt or performed exactly like this one. All I can say is you have to try it for yourself. On a random note- my husband said that he liked my foundation when I used this the first time… and he NEVER really has much to say about make up. For my really oily and acne scar peeps…

I have always struggled finding a good matte foundation becuz I’ve always been VERYYY oily my whole life but this is the one. I’ve never had a foundation match my skin tone so naturally. The foundation rlly stops me from having my face rlly oily (I’m very VERY oily). What I love about it is that it rlly stops me from being oily for a long time, I wear it to work (8 hours) and by the end of those eight hours my face is still a TINY bit oily but this is the best foundation becuz other foundations (fenty/ urban decay/Clinique) have always gave me leaving work with a very oily face. And did I mention it’s very light weight…. Like VERY. Out of all the foundations/tints I’ve ever worn….this is the lightest. Love! But needs olive-friendly undertone options.

I'm light to light-medium with warm(ish) olive undertones and generally have a really hard time finding foundation matches. I was recommended this in-store after struggling to find a winter shade in my usual brands; all warms were too yellow, and neutrals too grey. I bought it on a whim since it was the closest we could find and I love it! It's very high-grip, but a generous amount of moisturizer and pore-smoothing primer before applying, then working fast bouncing a damp sponge to apply blend one area at a time helps avoid a cakey appearance.
