The glass wall concept is good but this kettle is -not-: it beeps when turned on and when it boils (and the beep can't be deactivated); the temperature control takes up extra bench space; the whole thing can't be put on a metal benchtop; and it can't be taken back to a boil once it's boiled and switched off without waiting. Fail all round.

I love this attractive kettle. It is fast and efficient. I like the see through walls. The keep warm feature is a bonus as are the temperature options

Super quick to heat up! Love this kettle. Highly recommend. My only suggestion to Bodum would be to make it a matte colour to match the toaster and to have the warming function last longer rather than only 30 minutes. Would be great if warming was deactiv

Wanted a low wattage kettle for more efficient use with solar panels. This kettle is nicely made. It has a glass liner so the tea does not taste of plastic, but it has a plastic outer wall so that the exterior does not get too hot.
on the lookout for a smaller water volume kettle searching the Myer website December 2020 when I came across this Bodum unit. it has been in constant use since Christmas day, overall very pleased. main attraction points for me when looking for a new kettle was, a smaller volume (2 person household most of the time, which translates to a small decrease in power use when boiling water, over time may/will add up) another important feature is the, cool to the touch sides, (no scalding of fingers, what one gets when touching the sides of a stainless steel kettle to see if it is hot - yes it is hard to retrain from bad habits) and the benefit of the double walled glass is to accurately see the volume of water inside, not like the plastic viewing gauge on most stainless ... I can confidently say, I have no concerns at this point in time. its weight may be a bit much for someone with arm mobility issues, the pouring spout shape, which seems to slow the pouring out of water (possibly to do with a lower water volume weight trying to rush out), its start & finish tones/beeps are not annoying, well done on that point Bodum! The Myer online purchase was seamless and a quick delivery time. I would recommend it

I cant live without my cup of tea....and when my kettle finally gave up the ghost, I was devastated, thank goodness for Zulily. I found this wonderful Double Wall Electric Kettle and I just love it . I boils so much faster then my old one, and has so many options, even to keep warm. I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a great kettle.
