First time having French press coffee, haven’t even used one of these things before. Such a satisfying and intentional way to make delicious coffee. I wish it had the locking lid but it says right in the manual the Brazil model doesn’t so I can’t be upset.

Garbage, the plunger broke during the first use. There’s a plastic piece that holds the plunger components together, that immediately slides up under the pressure, resulting in no press, the plunger falls apart inside the French press. FIRST USE.

I have been using my Bodum 3 Cup French Press for awhile now. It actually makes one standard size coffee cup of coffee. Perfect for me, since I’m the only one here, and usually only drink one cup. I’ve used other brands of French Press coffee makers, and I’ve found that Bodum is my favorite. The quality is good. The glass removes from the plastic holder for cleaning. And the lid has slats over the pouring area to help catch any grounds that sneaked their way past the mesh screen. I’d definitely recommend this!

Seems to be good quality and easy to clean, but it definitely doesn't make 8 cups. If you like a decent sized mug if coffee, it makes 2-4 max. Also, I was hoping thatbthe glass beaker would be removable and replaceable in case it breaks, but it is not.
Works well though the classic design was a bit more user friendly. The lid needs to be adjusted so it fits under where the handle is attached. This is not a major issue and it makes nice coffee.
Love that this French press makes a decent amount in one go for 4 average sized coffees, or 2 really big ones (with some leftover!). Bought this to take camping and enjoy good coffee over Easter and it didn’t disappoint. It is durable, easy to use and clean, and was great value on sale.
Stupid cheap, makes great coffee - and the coffee isn't what I bought it for. Prices on large mugs are daft these days, and this, if you yank the steel rod and presser system out, is an utterly lovely mug. With a lid. That you can microwave. Gotta make sure that this model is what you get if you plan to microwave it, because other Bodum presses have metal framework which would be bad. As would leaving any metal in it, y'know? To which add: I like the style, and it's comfy to hold while drinking from. Coffee, smoothies, whatever: Go.
This small cafetière is perfect for a single large cup or two smaller cups of coffee. Easy to use and clean. Keeps coffee warm due to small size. The coffee has a clean taste, and is grit-free. Made in Portugal and looks great on the table.compact size, so easy to store.
Makes a great cup of coffee. I of late have had to switch to decaf coffee due to health reasons. And our Keurig machine extremely efficient but rather expensive when looking for the higher-grade decaf brands it was just more cost effective to go back to a ground roast for me. I buy whole bean or coarse grounds which is recommended. I must say I am not at all disappointed with this Brazilian 12-cup French Press Coffee Maker. It makes great tasting brews in just 4 minutes after bringing your water to boiling point then pouring the heated water using another source and then into the pot and just adding the right amount of coarse coffee grounds. French press coffee is some of the best you will ever drink. If all you've ever had is drip coffee, you are in for a treat. I have the smaller one of these too, but the 12 cup is great if multiple people want some coffee. Unlike a coffee maker this has nothing to keep the carafe warm so it's not the best solution of you take a few hours to go through a pot. Also a french press is a bit more labor intensive. You will need coarse ground coffee; that usually means grinding it yourself at home or from whole bean coffee using the stores grinder. Also cleaning the press is not quite as easy as cleaning a drip coffee maker. And, you will need to heat the waterThis is a high quality no-frills press. I use it daily
