Bodum Chambord Coffee Maker - 3 Cup, 0.35 L, 12 oz (1923-18)

Good but delicate. As other reviewers mentioned the glass beaker can come loose and be dropped, but this seems to be the standard design in French Press Coffee Makers. What I was looking for was a solid one with a good screen that wouldn't leave me with a coffee grind filled cup. Another requirement is that the press stays up on it's own and allows the coffee to brew without agitation. This one definitely does the job so far. I've used it every other day for a few weeks and the screen seems to be holding up well and the press stays up on it's own. I love the fact that the screen mount unscrews for easy cleaning. I highly recommend it.

This is my first French press coffee maker ,and I absolutely love it. This little french press is AMAZING. This French press is simple but very effective. It really does make an exceptional brew. I am truly impressed by the difference in taste and flavor of my coffee made by this Press. As for the taste of the coffee, it’s far superior than a coffee made in a coffee machine. It is beautifully designed and well made and looks great on my kitchen counter. Better than expected!

I bought this item, while my Moccamaster was delivered. I'm happy I did! This item makes plenty of coffee for my husband and I and the taste is great. Makes my Peet's Major Dickerson taste way better than my drip machine that just broke. Very happy with this item and would recommend to anyone.

Bigger is better

Yep, I said it. We used to only have a smaller French press that my wife and I used for just ourselves in the mornings, but with any company, making extra coffee was a chore! With this big gal, we can provide coffee much quicker to our guests. Makes just over 4 cups, enough to get everyone started.

Delicious Coffee and Looks Great!

I love this French Press. It makes delicious coffee and the size is perfect. It makes 4 mugs worth. The coffee stays hotter than you would expect and the filter works great! I unfortunately broke my first one and reordered another immediately! It also looks pretty on my counter so I can leave it out!

Great press. Fragile beaker.

We got this 12-cup press for our wedding 9 years ago and it was my husband’s favorite gift. He’s a “French-press-only” kind of guy at home, so we love having a way to serve coffee to large groups. For our annual NYE party, he makes one press full, pours it into our Crate and Barrel carafe to keep it hot.Unfortunately, the beaker broke, as is pretty commonplace with how fragile they are- it seems like you can look at them wrong and they can break! But we use it on rare occasion and it lasted us 9 years. We bought another immediately to replace it. Then, pulse the press up and down to release other stuck grounds and to really get it clean.

Great size.

I've had Bodum in the past, it's big in Europe where I'm from but I moved on to Alessi (gorgeous and very high end) some years ago, but my husband kept bemoaning that they did not hold enough coffee and therefore kept making more pots and we were getting through and also wasting undrunk coffee like it was going out of fashion. I bought this 51 oz to combat the issues. Now we make this and it's enough for my single regular mug and his plus around 2 refills which keeps him happy. Then we call it a day, clean it and pop it into the dishwasher. Perfect.

I wanted to get one of these for years because my bestie had one and I was always impressed by the flavor of the coffee from being made in one of these. It is almost frothier to me. Well, I finally got one and I love it. I always thought it was super complicated to use but it is easy and super fast. I found the best way is to boil some water let it cool for 30 secs. Add your coffee to the bottom of your press and fill it with 1/4 of the water and stir it. Let it sit for another 30 secs then add the rest of your water but leave room at the top for the press/lid. I put the lid on and let it sit for 4 mins then press it. It is that easy. And it will be the most amazing cup of coffee ever.
