Contains 12.50% ABV. The complexity and richness of Special Cuvée is unparalleled among the entry non-vintage blends of every Champagne house, short of ascending to the mesosphere of Krug. Its grand recipe explains why, built on incredible depth of 50%-60% reserves. Triumphant complexity is a given at Bollinger, but it's the dynamic freshness and vitality that really set it apart as one of the most affordable Champagne benchmarks.

I don't think it needs much explanation: a very clear example of how pinot noir, albeit in a higher percentage than the classic specification grapes, can give a wine that is strong but also elegant and suitable for everything. With fish, but also with tartare, it has never disappointed.

I am not a big champagne fan, finding most of what I have tasted in the past to be highly overrated and wondering what all the fuss is about in having champagne. However my two grownup kids treated me to a bottle of this Bollinger for my 70th birthday recently and I have to say that it is exceptionally good. I dont know, never having tasted any, whether true vintage champagnes taste anything like this or better, but if they do then I take back everything Ive thought about champagne. This is truly a fine celebratory drink and worth every pound of its price just to enjoy its delicate but special flavour. For me this champagne is streets ahead of others in its price range. If you are looking for a good champagne, havent tried Bollinger and might be a bit sceptical ... Bright colour, good clarity, fragrant boutique, lovely mouthfeel. Quite aromatic with some red fruit. No obvious alcohol heat. Good purity. Putting all this together the 2018 Charvin Le Poutet is a very pleasurable wine. No qualms drinking now or cellaring for ten years for greater complexity. The great 2010 vintage of this wine is drinking superbly in 2021.

Purchased as an additional gift for my mum on her 80th birthday. She said it was packed well and arrived in the allocated time by the courier.Very well received when popped open to share with friends. All agree an excellent tasting champagne.
A delicious champagne to suit those who enjoy a lighter flavour profile. It's all personal preference of course - if you prefer a more brioche, vanilla butter flavour then other brands may better suit. Bolli however always ticks the boxes for an elegant accompaniment for seafood or as a classy aperitif.
The most distinctive flavor in any champagne that I have enjoyed. Intensely fruity (ripe apples?) on the initial flow across the tongue with small bubbles tingling along the tip. A very enjoyable sensual experience. Finish is incredibly smooth with a lingering taste and feel that deliciously beckons another mouthful. Beautiful rich amber to golden color; substantial structure; elegant bottle and label; wholly enjoyable. Serve with pride and enjoy the ride.
I bought this bottle to celebrate my daughter's birthday. I'm so glad I did. It was so fragrant and delicious. Good to the last drop. I'll definitely purchase this one again.
I've tried numerous bottles and half bottles of Bollinger over the years and never been impressed. It swings wildly from harsh and overly acidic to the bottle I got unusually cheap at Asda. The cheapest deal on Bollinger anywhere, so I thought why not grab a bottle for a nice occasion. This time it tasted quite noticeably watered-down and bland. Suspiciously watered-down, especially considering the unusually low price. Made me genuinely wonder what kind of special deal Bollinger have made with Asda.
