Champagner Special Cuvée Brut 1,5 l Magnum - Bollinger The Champagne Special Cuvée Brut from Bollinger is a characterful, lively and seductive sparkling wine from the French wine region of Champagne, which is made from the grape varieties Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. In the glass this wine shines in a sparkling gold with light golden highlights. The perlage rises to the surface in very fine bubbles and conjures up a wonderful mousseux. The nose is pampered by an outstanding aromatic complexity. Aromas of roasted apples, stewed apples and peaches unfold - filigree underlined by spicy notes. On the palate this French sparkling wine convinces with an excellent combination of structure, length and liveliness. The bubbles envelop like velvet. These are joined by elegant aromas of pear, brioche and notes of fresh walnut. Vinification of the Bollinger Special Cuvée Magnum The grapes (Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier) come from 85% Grand-Cru and Premier-Cru vines of Champagne. The base wine is aged in stainless steel tanks as well as in oak barrels. After the cuvéeing follows the second fermentation. This sparkling wine matures on the lees for at least 3 years. This is twice as long as the appellation prescribes. Once the maturation is complete, the sparkling wine is disgorged. Food recommendation for the Special Cuvée Champagne from Bollinger This sparkling wine from France is an excellent accompaniment to sushi and sashimi, fresh seafood as well as to Parmesan and well smoked ham.
