BondiBoost Thickening Therapy Spray 125ml

I purchased this along with several other products from Bondi Boost because I’ve been suffering from major hair loss over the last ten months. I’ve purchased a ton of treatments/ products during this journey and I can say that with one exception, Bondi Boost is a real let down. This thickening spray has some really great ingredients, which is the main reason I purchased it. The second reason is because it’s supposed to give volume and create thickness in fine hair. There are many products on the market that have the same claims, but again, I liked these ingredients. It is easy to use and doesn’t have a strong smell, which I appreciate, but I didn’t notice any real difference in volume, thickness, lift at the roots, or anything. I think my hair did look a little shiner? That, the ingredients and the fact that it didn’t make my hair greasy or sticky are the reasons for the stars.

Behaving Hair

I tried this product several times while in Sephora. I loved the way it added volume to my straight, flat hair and decided to splurge and make the purchase. After trying & buying so many other volume hair products I finally found the right fit. I love this product. I may actually try some of the other products Bondi Boost puts out but this hair thickening therapy spray is the bomb!

Don’t believe the hype

As a 40y old with stick straight, fine, slightly thinning hair I am constantly on the lookout for volumizing products. And I’ve tried most of the top brands (Virtue, Bumble and Bumble, Ouai, Kerastase, etc). I also rely heavily on reviews before making purchases. I saw this product, saw it had glowing reviews—over 200 5 star ones and purchased.This has got to be one of the most lack-luster products I’ve ever used. Produced no visible results and actually WEIGHED my hair down. For the lazy, air dry gals who need some texture!

I'm not great when it comes to styling my hair, hair products, etc. I was blonde/platinum for years and used basically the same products forever (cough cough olaplex). Once my hair had finally had enough, I decided to start growing out my natural color and went copper in the meantime. In this process, I realized how much I'd limited myself and denied my hair the necessary things it needed such as moisture/hydration. I also realized I wasn't doing myself any favors. I have fine, wavy hair, and a decent amount of it when it's not all broken off from bleaching (getting there), and it literally has NO texture when it's freshly washed. I've tried several other "texture" sprays, "wave" sprays, etc. and they all make my hair feel terrible and do nothing. I like that I think it is actually nourishing my hair while I use it vs. sitting on top of it. I use on wet and dry hair. I always air dry and I just like the little bit of OOMPH this gives. Love all their products I've Tried so far!

Give it time to work.

At first I thought all it did was make my hair slightly wet, but it actually worked after 10-15 minutes. The change is not drastic though, my hair is just slightly poofier. I love the scent and it is very light, so it dissipates after the 10-15 minutes. I would not pay full-price for this, but since I bought it on the 50% off sale, it is good value IMO. It does not cause my hair to be straw-like at all, and my hair also doesn’t tangle like other thickening sprays do.

Okay

I was waiting for wash day, which was today. I tried it today and I will be very honest, I have loved absolutely everything I have tried about this brand. I actually love Bondi Boost since i found out about it. I have never had issues or been inconclusive with how I felt about everything Ive tried so far. But with this spray I felt inconclusive. I actually had to apply another oil over my hair after. I believe maybe it is meant to be a longer trial period in order to feel what it is meant to do? I am giving it 4 stars because I did notice that my hair was more voluminous, although very frizzy as well.

Pretty much terrible

I had already returned the shampoo and conditioner that go along with this thickening spray. The thickening spray DOES work but at the cost of hair health. I wish I coudl return this too but as it's been 31 days since I purchased it, I will be pouring it down the drain instead. I can't believe that these products have such rave reviews and going forward I will never believe any reviews that do not say VERIFIED PURCHASE cuz the rest of them must be paid reviews. Lesson learned. If you want your hair to feel like straw then this line is for you! If not, look elsewhere.

Thicker, Fuller Hair with More Body

I've been using this product in conjunction with a hair growth treatment and wow! What a difference. Not only have I seen new growth, my hair is fuller, thicker, and has noticeably more body. Enough that my hair stylist asked me what I was doing differently. My hair has always been fine and it's always lacked body, but up until my 60s, I had a lot of hair. Then I started noticing areas where my hair has started thinning. I started first with a scalp treatment to stimulate growth and then added this product to boost overall thickness. What a difference! My hair is also stronger and more resistant to split ends and breakage. LOVE it.

great for blondes

i usually hate the feeling of styling products on my hair & they ruinnn my hair, BUT THIS DOESNT! it styles my hair beautifully while also not making my hair feel too heavy or look greasy. it’s hard to use products with blonde hair because you can almost always see it in your hair throughout the day. i this was one of the few that has worked for my blonde hair!! i don’t “see” it in my hair. it’s light weight and invisible. this product also has made my hair shines (as has this wholllllle line!!). smells great too!

people noticed!

I was stuck on choosing this one of the Ouai volume spray. But majority of the comments for this one was more positive than negative. No I’m not one who solely goes off reviews! I decided to go with this one and I love how it is completely toxic free! So I tried it one time I could instantly notice the difference. As someone who has fine hair it was noticeable! The next day my nail artist asked if I blowed dried out my hair because it looked “thick” it had a full appearance. That was enough for me to say okay continuing using! Now understand everyone hair is different what works for me may not work the same for you. But honestly this product really amazed me! I would def repurchase.
