Not sure whether this was a bad batch (purchase June 2023), or a reflection on the current quality of Bonds' products (I hope not!), but I purchase two sets of these midi undies, and am going to have to return them. I've been buying and wearing this range for years without issue, so didn't bother trying them on before washing (cold wash, gentle speed spin), but with every single set the hem on the waist band was completely destroyed on first stretch. As in, all I could hear as I tried to pull them up my legs was threads snapping. And my legs aren't tiny, but they shouldn't be inflicting that kind of trauma on the poor fabric! I tested another pair by just stretching them a bit with my hands and the same thing happened. What's going on, Bonds??I can only put this down to the wrong kind of thread/stitch used, or just plain poor quality thread. Which is a genuine pity, because the fabric otherwise felt the same quality softness as usual, and there was nothing wrong with the fit, but that hem was destroyed on the slightest stretch and started to fray and split immediately, meaning they were effectively worn out before first use.As mentioned, I very much hope this was just a bad batch, because I've been a loyal Bonds midi cottontail user for years now, but I have to say that this particular purchase was a deeply disappointing one. Will hopefully see an improvement if they're replaced.

These are great except the sizing is very small. Hence only a 3 star rating. It wpuld be higher if sizing was correct. If you want the old size 10, then order the current size 14.

I have bought Cottontail Midis for many many years because they were the only type of underpants I could stand to wear. I have been hunting the older style ones for the past couple of years but they are getting harder and harder to find. I live in regional/rural NSW so shopping is an online occupation. From what I am reading in the reviews, the slide into poor quality and design continues. We do not resemble the skinny young bodies represented by your models. How about testing your products out on real women? We want quality of materials and comfort in design. We don't like the uncovered elastic band. It would be nice to be able to get a size 20. It seems Bonds is not listening to its customers, many of whom have been loyal for a lifetime.
