Took some getting used to after using gas and electric hobs for most of my life, but I do like this item. Having the temperature change almost instantly is brilliant and the heat-boost is a life-saver when you forget to turn on the hob at the right time to cook dinner. Fitting wasn't too bad - though ensure you use the correct cable that comes with the unit, we re-used the previous hob's 3-core cable and got an error originally then realised needed to use the 5-core cable included. Surface does get hot where pan has been (residual heat) but it does display a warning letting you know this which is good.

An absolutely amazing cooking facility.

I love the ability to have the precise control when cooking. The timer is great when I am occupied with grandchildren and get distracted. The multi purpose cooking area is fantastic for our use. We do need to choose our pans for the cooking area. The ability to simmer large pots (sauces etc) is so easy to control. Cleaning the job is easy and effortless. Superb!

Replaced my still fully functional 15 year old induction cooktop with this Bosch cooktop and have been amazed by the advances in functionality, flexibility and ease of use over time. On the old unit, setting a timer for 15 minutes needed selecting the required hotplate, timer function then touching + 15 times. This one requires only selection of the timer function followed by touching 1 then 5. It is the same for heat selection and changes, with the new Bosch only needing a single touch from 1-9 with half settings between the digits on the control panel giving a total range of 17 heat settings. Then there's the convenience of Pot Sensor, Flex Zone and Frying Sensor, all of which were non existent at the time I got the previous cooktop. The only thing I would say could be improved is the control panel labelling. It is not as bright as I would have liked. Due to the extent of detail the numbers and symbols are quite small and can be difficult to see in poorer light, but then I am only months away from turning 70 and this may not be such an issue for most.

Great upgrade to old ceramic cooktop
27 March 2023

Bought Bosche Series 6 Flex Induction Cooktop (PXE651FC1E) as an upgrade from my old ceramic cooktop. Love the Flex features where you can use different size pots/pans (from very small to larger grill pan). Compared to the ceramic cooktop, the induction cooktop heat up super fast. Safe time and energy. Best part is the cleaning. I placed kitchen paper towel below and around the cooktop when I do frying whcih absorb any splashing oil. Just need to throw away the paper towel after cooking.

I am converted!
28 October 2022

I had tried induction hobs before and didn't get on well with them but was convinced to try this one. I am so glad I did, this is so much better than the one I used before. It is very quick and responsive, and easy to clean. At first I didn't understand that if you put anything metal on it even when it is off it will beep, but now I know. Also it does not like water on the control panel so switches off if something boils over too far, but I can live with this. I am looking forward to giving this a real test with a big meal.

Induction performance is amazing
12 March 2023

Purchased to replace our old chunky gas cooktop and extremely happy with the decision. Induction performance is amazing. Loving the huge flexi zone and being able to set each area to its own timer. The boost function brings a large pot full of water to boil in a few minutes - impressive. Totally streamlined and super easy to keep clean.

Life is amazingly better instantly with Bosch
27 September 2021

Wow - I am in love with this cooktop. I always wanted to get an induction cooktop. Why did I wait so long to own one. Anyway in saying this my experience in purchasing my Bosch induction cooktop through Harvey Norman was a great experience. Due to covid you can only do on-line shopping, so it was important that the product lived to my expectation. The product was clearly described, including all the specifications. I then placed the order thinking I would be waiting for a few days, but I instantly got a message advising me it is ready for click and collect. Bingo, the product was in stock. My cooktop has been installed already and wow wow wow I am in love with this induction cooktop. Why did I wait so long to own one. I did not know that my life could be a lot easier with all the features of this product. Yes I am being serious, I can have 4 pans cooking at the same time but have different heat settings and timers for each one. That means I can say boil this one for 3 mins and that for 20 mins. The features of pan frying, grill and boost are more added features. I totally love my Bosch.

Love this hob
25 May 2023

Neither me and my partner have ever used an induction hob before, but were recommended it by the Wren’s kitchen team. Not this particular one but induction in general. So far we're loving it! It heats things up super quickly (which can mean some getting used to) as things boil over easily. But the surface is easily cleanable as it's just a flat glass panel with no awkward bits to clean like a gas burner. We are always paranoid about scratching or chipping, so we've bought a placemat/cover thing from Amazon that sits on top when not in use.

Reasonable cooktop
12 June 2023

I've had the cooktop for about 12 months. Sometimes the cooktop stops functioning and you have to turn it off at the powerpoint to reset the cooktop. If you try to change the setting with wet fingers, the cooktop does not always respond. If you spill water (eg condensation from a saucepan lid) on the cooktop, it can stop functioning. You need to put on high to stir fry, but it's not the same as gas despite what everyone says, but it's definitely better for the environment. I think that my old ceramic cooktop got hotter. I purchased the griddle pan for the flexihob at enormous cost. It works well but have since discovered you can buy a cheaper one from Chinatown or online (not Bosch branded).

Why did I wait so long
15 September 2021

I am in love. Why did I wait so long to replace my boring ceramic cooktop. I totally love my new induction cooktop. It is amazing what it can do. Yesterday I started to explore and had food cooking and was at ease as I set the time for the cooking to complete. You know everyone does get distracted so this was a bonus to me. There is plenty of room on this cooktop to use any size pan/pot. The buttons do not get hot and they are all in front of you and have more control. Very easy to clean. I totally love the intelligence of this cooktop and has made me look forward to cooking again. Welcome to the latest addition to our other Bosch products we have. Well done Bosch, always perfection as ever!
