The product is good and very effective. The downside, however, is that Switzerland does not import important spare parts regarding this machine. The only items which one can find in the market are: the wires and the cutting knives. I had bought the same product in 2019, two years later the belt could not be attached and, more importantly, the cap which fixes the cutting wire in place had to be replaced. The cap is at the low end of the machine and occasionally comes into contact with the ground, hence it needs to be replaced. Decided on an electric corded version because of the power and also no recharge time mid job! Excellent bit of kit, easy to assemble and instructions are good. Did exactly as it says on the tin and destroyed everything in its path with the flail. Haven’t used the blade yet but have some tougher stuff to deal with and am confident it will handle it with ease.Would definitely recommend

Bosch strimmer/brush cutter.Powerful tool hacked down large areas of nettles and overgrown weeds. The 3 blade disk is most robust. The strimmer cord is strong and great on ordinary areas but can break if it hits barbed wire, rocks, etc.I know, I know - "so don't hit barbed wire or rocks".Just saying, that's all.Easy to replace and will last a long time if you take reasonable care over hidden objects (more than I did).Overall - a robust machine, recommended.Problems - only the weight of machine when using for a long period and some strain on finger holding switch on during use. Not really problems and a trade-off against the power of the machine.I'm delighted.

I wanted a good electric brush cutter; I don't need the portability of a petrol machine and electric ones don't cause hassle with poor starting, oiled plugs etc. After some research I decided that this was the tool I needed; it is Bosch so quality is a given, plus nearly all the reviews are 5*. I have used it once so far and was very pleased with the performance. It is quieter than a petrol machine too. Yes, it is quite heavy but the included harness makes it easy to use and is no worse than the old petrol machine I used to have. I have only got two minor complaints: 1. assembly takes a little thought as the pictograms are not totally clear (a few words would help) and 2. Brilliant tool

I have always wanted a strimmer that does a decent job. But was never able to find one. I liked the petrol driven ones used by the professional gardeners but was never keen enough to have to deal with the fuss and bother of mixing petrol and oil to keep them running. When I saw this electric bush cutter, I knew that I had found what I had been looking for. My garden has become significantly overgrown since I was medically retired 5 years ago. I have been able to use this product whilst sitting in my wheelchair. Obviously I have been followed protective clothing and equipment guidelines but have been unable to follow the instructions as to using the tool completely as stated. I have managed to use this tool as if I were a short person. And I have been able to rest the weight upon my thighs. I may only be able to cover small areas at a time, since I am not able to use wide sweeps as an able bodied person could, but I can use this with more safety than someone who is standing. I will not trip up and I am able to keep my cutting height consistent and thus avoid sending detritus flying. It may take me a while to get the work done but it is done without risk of tripping on the cuttings or dropping the cutting height due to back strain. Since my wheelchair takes the brunt of the forces exerted upon the user I can handle the product for much longer than any able-bodied user. By purchasing blades for bush cutters sold in the USA, with my neighbours help we have even cut down bushes and small trees up to 3 inches thick. This does need a constant force to be applied away from the cut to keep the blade from the downward force of the trees/bushes weight on the surface of the blade. We burnt out the motor of my first purchase of this tool when we used this on our first group of trees and bushes without the force being applied higher than the cutting point. The full weight of the trees thus Sat on top of the blade causing the motor to have to fight the friction upon the blade as well as the work of cutting the wood. As a result the motor became far too hot and burnt-out. With this replacement we had no trouble with trees of the same size when we applied the force away from the side being cut so no weight pressed down upon the blade. The easiest way to do this was to tigh a rope a couple of feet above the site to be cut, then the trees bole could be pulled away from the blade from a safe distance by the users partner. Doing it that way resulted in no more heat generated in the motor than when cutting down the area of a thick bramble patch. Overall I give this tool a very high quality, value for money and flexibility in use (with the right blade) score. Thanks you Bosch for bringing the same advantages of a petrol bush cutter to the domestic gardening consumer.

Buy this if you've got 6ft thistles in your garden

I bought this brush cutter to clear a garden where it had been overtaken by thistles upto 7ft tall and very long grass too. The metal blade cut through the thistles with ease (about 40mm thick at the base) and I levelled the grass with the line strimmer.It's quite heavy, so I took a few breaks in between.Changeover between metal blade and line cutter was easy. Highly recommended as a brush cutter. Don't buy it to strim your grass edges.

Excellent Performer

With the brush cutter blade fitted this made short work of a large patch of shoulder height, very densely packed brambles. It is quite heavy and the spring in the trigger is a bit firm leading to muscle cramps with prolonged use, but the Bosch AFS 23-37 made a horrible task much easier. The heavy duty strimmer line works well on weeds and nettles and swapping between the brush cutter and strimmer couldn't be easier. I've only given 4 stars for reliability because I've had the machine for less than a week. If you register online the 2 year guarantee gets extended to 3 years. Take a few minutes to adjust the shoulder strap length and position the hanging point on the machine (so that it's well balanced) to minimise fatigue. Good value for money in my opinion, recommended.

Good strimmer and cutter

I would have given it 5 stars but it didn't come with a manual, guess you're meant to look everything up on line now, and also the spare strimmers are held in the handle and kept there with a plastic cap. 1st time I used it at some point the cap has fallen off and I've lost 2 of the 3 spare stimmers. It a stupid idea to have a pushfit cap! Keep them safe somewhere else. Cuts stuff really well, strap is good, unit is quite heavy, not too noisy imo.

NOT VERY HAPPY --AND WOULD GIVE LESS THAN ONE STAR IF POSSIBLE .I RECENTLY BOUGHT TWO EXPENSIVE ITEMS . THE SECOND ITEMS BOX DID NOT ARRIVE . THEY CLAIMED THAT THE SMALLER ITEM BOX WAS PLACED INSIDE THE BIGGER BOX ?? WHY WOULD YOU BREAK THE MANUFACTURERS BOX SEAL ON A NEW PRODUCT TO PLACE A SMALLER PRODUCT INSIDE ?? THEY HAVE NOT OFFERED TO COMPENSATE ME --SO I HAVE CURRENTLY TAKEN IT UP WITH PAYPAL --WHO HOPEFULLY WILL REIMBURSE ME . IF NOT I MAY HAVE TO CLAIM THROUGH THE SMALL CLAIMS COURT . . WORD OF WARNING TO POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS ---THESE PEOPLE DID NOT SHOW ANY GOODWILL GESTURES OR INTEREST WHEN CUSTOMERS ARE NOT HAPPY SUBSEQUENTLY I WONT BE BUYING AGAINDISAPPOINTED AND ANNOYED

Very effective strimmer/brush cutter

The product is well designed with an easy switch between using as a brush cutter via a steel blade and a strimmer. The strimmers I have previously owned were useless as the thin nylon cable would quickly snap, but this design has an individual short length of cable that is very heavy duty which is pressed between rollers to fix into position (a spare cable is provided). Bosch have come up with a great product and I have no doubt it will give reliable service for years as their products are built to last.
