No matter how careful you are, eg only adjusting placement using the grip that has the lock, as suggested by Bosch, when you lock, the far end of the fence is not necessarily quite parallel. The solution is of course to carefully check both ends before making the cut and adjust as needed. The blade, sliding table etc work well. Despite the minor irritation with the rip fence, taken together with the stand and ease to carry it outside to rip larger panels, I am very happy with this table saw.

So as a small garage/workshop it’s fantastic, nice and heavy and stable on The frame. Cuts are straight and the side and rear extensions are awesome for larger prices.Downside is the fence when locked doesn’t always remain straight, so I constantly feel I need to measure the distance between the fence and the blade. But that’s not the end of the world! I would recommend as the results I’ve had so far have been great!!

Thought I would splash out on this table saw and the leg stand. Quality as you would expect from Bosch. Nice soft start motor and braked stopping actions. Angled cuts are very accurate, have complete a number of mitre joints which have been very accurate and needed minimum finishing. Can 'clog' up a bit on thick hardwoods, but may be me not feeding correctly. Extendable table has been very useful. Fence is very sturdy and really locks in place. All-in-all very pleased. Pricey, but you get what you pay for.

Extremely happy with this saw. OK, it's a bit OTT for a diy'er like me, but as I know and trust Bosch Pro tools, I thought, why not!Does everything I could wish for, its extremely robust and well made, it'll last me forever! Very versatile with the extending table and I'm glad I went for this over the lesser model. One of the best bits for me though is the superb dust extraction. I connect it to a Karcher PTO vacuum and reckon it collects over 90% the sawdust. With a proper extraction, I'd imagine it's even better. Was definitely worth buying the stand along with the saw, the working height is perfect and the stand is rock solid too!

Fantastic saw. Accurate and smooth. Fence is stable and accurate.I’m usually quite good with instructions but this set is a bit all over the place. Pictures and written instructions in different parts of the booklet. For me the only downside

Feature laden but flawed

I have owned this saw for two years now for use in a compact professional workshop for general cabinetry. Set up is easy as with most contractors saws there's very little assembly needed. The positives:-powerful motor which is relatively quiet in use and the overload protection is a real bonus having had two jams when using a sled resulted in workpiece cuts jamming due to unexpected kick back, stopping the machine. It was none the worse for wear;- sliding mitre table is a real plus and invaluable for crosscutting smaller pieces;-compact size yet with telescoping rip fence and extension feed frame a must have;-light enough to move around without assistance;-trade rated due to the high quality powerful 2.1KW motor;-good dust extraction when used with a decent ... MoreI have owned this saw for two years now for use in a compact professional workshop for general cabinetry. It rarely squares up and you can see it pulls off slightly when clamping down so the far end often needs slight adjustment to get it anywhere near accurate. It does then stay put as long as the tension adjuster is clamped properly;- mitre sled has way too much play in it and does need the occasional truing up which is a fiddly and time consuming process not covered in the manual well. You have to remove the sliding table and loosen all of the plastic running rail screws then fine adjust them until you have the play almost taken out, then carefully tighten them. Taking all play out just results in the table not sliding smoothly so be prepared to spend an hour or more getting this right;- saw angle release is awkward to accurately reset as the action relies on the tightening handle to turn a fair amount and both hands are needed to prevent movement;- some fine tuning of the rithing blade is needed to get it properly aligned and this is really awkward. It's equally awkward to remove it for making rabbit cuts. Why Bosch couldn't have used a rack and pinion fence I don't know...Dewalt manage it!All said and done, it's still one of the best featured saws of it's type along with the range topping Makita saw, these two being the best bet for workshop use. If you're after a site saw, the Dewalt is probably the best one to go for.If you want a workshop saw and can't stretch to a 16A cast iron topped machine, or even a 13A cast iron table one such as the Charnwood W650, then this Bosch or the equivalent Makita are both great value, very robust, well finished and real workhorses. Just be prepared to put in some extra fine tuning work for precision work.

Good.

Nice machine. (And more impressive than the advertising picture) The motor has a soft start, so no more watching the room lights dip! and a break which quickly brings the blade to a stop. Everything appears nicely robust. If I had one complaint it’s the amount of play in both trammel lines. At this price bracket I’d say there’s a little too much. The package deal includes an expensive, but very sturdy stand. If you are not bench mounting, it’s worth it. Overall I’m very pleased. Someone will need to explain to me why the UK doesn’t allow these machines to have a dado cutter, which would make it a hundred times more versatile. Perhaps I should have purchased it from the US.

Ideal for the small workshop

Needed to replace an old and worn out Axminster budget table saw, but I'm tight on space so needed something compact. I'd looked at some of the other saws in the £500-£700 bracket, but most seem to be from the far east and carry rubbish reviews about their quality, accuracy and ease (not..!) of assembly.I have several Bosch tools still going strong that I bought in 1981, so I had no doubt this tool would be of good quality. I'd also seen reviews that rate this tool highly for pretty much everything, so I thought this was the obvious choice for me.The saw is actually bigger than I'd expected, but that's a real benefit. I also find the sliding table and extendable table a real bonus, particularly as they both work very well. The fence is very good and so far is producing very accurate cuts. The mitre gauge is basic, but has a nice additional fence which provides a really useful extra length to support your timber for cross cutting. My only whinge is that the T slots on the saw table are just over 16mm wide, which means you cant use a decent after-market mitre gauge if you wanted to upgrade to a nice Incra gauge or similar. This also means that if you've built jigs in your workshop using standard 19mm track, non of these will run in the narrower track on this saw table (obviously). Beats me why manufacturers do this, as there are loads of accessories and fittings out there for 19mm track, so what's the point in milling a 16 mm track when it would be just as easy to make a 19mm slot instead..! Whinge over..Aside from the mitre track, I really like the saw and am delighted with my purchase. I changed the standard 24 tpi blade for a 40 tpi straight away, as my use is for finer work making furniture. I found the blade change method is really easy, and it would have been even easier had I found the blade change spanner first of all rather than using one of my own. The proper spanner comes packed inside the spare blade cover, which I only found when I opened it up to store the spare blade. The additional fence provided is excellent for cutting thin timber close to the blade, as the low fence allows you to get the blade guard close to the timber without being fouled by the main fence, and away from you fingers..! I also like the quick-release blade guard function, and the tool less riving knife adjustment is just great, as you can just push the riving knife down behind the saw blade if you want to do some concealed cuts. Once done, you just grab the riving knife with your fingers and pull it back up into its safe and effective position. The stand is very robust and the saw fits it like a glove, and all in all, provides a very stable base at a good height for you to work from.Final tip....the saw comes in an enormous box, and is quite heavy, so you might need to make sure you have plenty of space available when you unpack and assemble it, and if possible, a spare pare of hands with a strong back.So if you want a quality and accurate table saw in this price range, this is a real top choice.

Impressive
23 March 2021

So I decided to get back into woodwork after a few years hiatus. I had salvaged some mahogany roof beams from a conservatory that was being replaced. I needed a table saw to joint one edge prior to running through a newly acquired Dewalt planer. This saw is impressive out of the box. Soft start and constant speed, this machine ripped through 1.8M of 75mm thick dense Mahogany without blinking, producing a flat enough edge to pass through the planer. In the space of a week I have ripped the Mahogany and a 50x450mm slab of Scottish Elm. I highly recommend this machine.

One of the best table saws on the marketplace
23 March 2023

1).Exceptional tool.2).Well designed.3).Exceptional motor.4).Useful functions. This saw is a 2 man job when loading and unloading from a vehicle, due to the weight. The red table saw that I purchased, is very sturdy and specifically designed for this Table Saw.The only drawback is the fact that it lacks a set of wheels.I have designed 4x two sided bracket that has a 40 degree slope that’s welded to a plate, that a GBL heavy duty caster wheel (two with brakes & two with out brakes) can be bolted on.Each wheel can handle up to 600kg, due to the roller bearings. This will allow me to manoeuvre the Table Saw easily and lockdown, once it has been positioned correctly in order to start work. Why Bosch hadn’t thought this through, I don’t know!
