Bosch PKS 18 Li - Cordless Circular Saw

Despite some reviewers saying this is not up to the job I have found for the odd DIY job it has been excellent and the batteries are holding up well. It's compact enough to be easy to use for home projects - it was never intended to be used on a building site. I have ripped through a sheet of 18mm hardwood ply without any sign of it giving up and it cuts quite accurately, only gripe is no hard case from Bosch that I can see.

Tried it to make sure it worked but have not cut anything yet. It ran very smoothly with no discernible vibrations. Seems fair value for money.

Awesome tool

Powerful, easy to use, excellent battery life, battery will keep its charge for well over a year, amazing cut quality, just keep it fitted with a sharp blade and it will do everything you need. It's a shame you need to buy the charger etc. separately. Spare blades difficult to find but always fit a genuine bosch or the battery efficiency suffers. Awesome tool!

Best purchase ever

This is perfect for DIY, no fiddly leads. I use a 4amp battery purchase separately, and dont have to stop to charge until the evening.The saw is light to use and cuts like a knife through butter.Highly recommendedGraham

Exceeded all my expectations

I bought this a few weeks back, with several sheets of 18mm chipboard to cut, for a set of new kitchen units. Being partially disabled, with little use of my right hand, I wanted something fairly lightweight, easy to use left handed, yet efficient. I have to say that this saw met all my requirements brilliantly. I bought it bare, and only had the little 1.5ah battery from the drill driver to use, but surprisingly, it did all the cutting on a single charge, plus the battery then went on to do almost all the drilling too! All in all, a superb bit of kit.

Good luch finding a replacement blade

Saw is good and does the job for simple DIY projects but look out once the blade is worn replacement blades aren't anywhere to be found.

Light enough , lots of features . Braked blade . Very smooth and quiet . Good comfortable handle and cutting blade on the left which is important for me as I like to be on the left of the material to be cut so that I have a good view of where the cut is going.

Wouldn't recommend this saw

Firstly it's pretty underpowered so it struggles to cut through anything significant.Secondly, the guide plate is out of line with the blade and can't be tuned straight. This means you can't use a guide to cut straight edges and have to just eyeball every cut.Bosch guarantee is also a complete sham and has so many requirements before they'll help it's impossible to use.

worst tool ever - it would not be able to cut

- it say "Made in China" and u can tell > I had to return it-battery wont slide properly and multiple other quality problems-it has literally no power - full charge it was unable to trim a door :))it would spin and when the whole blade is in - it would stop :))) it literally has no powerPS: after buying I went to see other reviews and some1 wrote that it couldn't cut 20mm laminated flooring(i think on B&Q review or on Wickes)- VERY, VERY bad tool > do not bother, u will end up returning it as it can not even do DIY :))
