Fantastic! This is my first induction hob and I couldn't be happier. My wife was unsure and wanted to stick with gas but after 2 uses is a full induction convert. Pro: - Easy to clean - SUPER faster water boiling - Can monitor how much power you used - Very easy to use controls - Built in cooking timer, kitchen timer and stop watch Cons: - Something like a wok will only heat up on the flat bottom (but this was a known) - Any pure aluminium cookware will no longer work - I can't think of real ones other than 'what gas can do this can't' I would NEVER go back to gas now, this thing is fantastic. Handles don't get hot anymore because there's no therm leakage around the pots and pans, the thing is so easy to clean. Install was SO simple. Also because it's flat you ... MoreFantastic! We are very satisifed with this new stove-top, which replaces another German brand induction stove top, and fits exactly. The controls on the Bosch are easier to use, and have more features - the 'sliding' hotplate feature is fabulous. For us an important factor in buying Bosch is that repairs can be done in Bendigo (regional Vic) if needed. The manufacturer of our old unit offered no repair service outside Melbourne, said it was up to us to find 'someone' and were even uncertain if I could deliver it to their servce centre in Melbourne. We support companies that support regional communities; thanks Bosch.

This product was purchased due to our previous Bosch Induction Cooktop being 17 years old. Due to the age of our cooktop, two of the elements were no longer working and it was time to update. We found our previous Bosch cooktop simple to use so we decided to stick with the same brand. We found the staff at The Good Guys knew their products and were extremely knowledgeable when providing advice on our products available. We are extremely happy with our purchase.

Not only functional but stylish too! Performs better than my previous induction cooktop in that its more responsive to changes in settings. Love the functional zone, particularly when using larger cookware to feed a household of growing boys. Also love the way it looks - slim and stylish and provides additional benchspace when not in use. Another great product from Bosch!
I have had this for over 18 months. Still works like a dream. I did a whole new kitchen all with series 8 bosch appliances. The cooktop offers every thing I could want. Anything from melting chocolate on low setting so not needing to double boil. This in itself is great because it means no water can get into chocolate therefore preventing it from ceasing up. There are a great range of heat levels for each element. One big draw factor which also led me to purchasing this particular hot plate was the large multifunction element. This allows for using a large rectangular pan or else using it for 2 separate pans or saucepan. Highly recommend. Would give it 10 stars if possible.
I have been very pleased with the cooktop, which does a good job and is easy touse at the basic level. There are a lot of extras such as timers and special temperature controlled cooking, but I haven't managed to use those yet. My main problem is that I never received an instruction book in English. There were instructions in French, Dutch, German, Italian and I think Spanish, but not English. When I phoned to ask for a manual, I was told to download it. That is NOT very useful when my computer is in the study not the kitchen! I also couldn't print it (about 40 pages!) so I asked again for a copy of the manual, and was sent 40 one sided pages, not even stapled together properly. Very poor! There was also a convenient short instruction glossy card to be kept by the stove for easy referral. I have never received this in English. My second issue about the cooktop was that 2 of the "hotplates" stopped working at all after about 3 weeks. Overall it's an excellent product let down by poor instructions and paperwork.
My old 25 year old cooktop died and we replaced it with a Bosch Induction cooktop - absolutely fantastic. It's so easy to use and I love the boost function to boil the pasta water real quick. There is also plenty of room for my pots and large fry pans so making dinner is quicker than ever. Food also browns evenly so no more shifting pieces around in the pan.
I don't normally write reviews but felt that I should for our cooktop to share performance after 3 years. Just after 12 months the heat settings around 5 stopped working (wouldn't turn on with touch). I called Bosch. Even though we were outside warrant this was a known defect and was fixed. Another 18 months later the top half of the slide element on the left side stopped working. When using the bottom half the glass where the power button is gets too hot to touch. We're outside warranty so we're living with it as I don't want to spend more money on an already not cheap cooktop. Overall disappointed as we trusted the Bosch brand and functionality broken within a short period of time.
Great aesthetic design with the brushed aluminium side trim and front bevelled edge. All glass top with minimal crevices is easy to keep clean.Supports a wide range of cookware sizes due to the relatively large 28cm induction element and in conjunction with the 'Flex' induction area for odd sized cookware the cooktop provides for great user flexibility.Induction controls are reasonably intuitive and the provision of a number of customisable options (eg Power manager) within the Basic Settings menu provides the user with even more setup flexibility. One thing that could be improved are the timer settings for the cooktop. It only provides for full minute intervals when setting the timers - It would be handy if it also allowed for 30 second interval settings which ... MoreGreat aesthetic design with the brushed aluminium side trim and front bevelled edge. It only provides for full minute intervals when setting the timers - It would be handy if it also allowed for 30 second interval settings which is handy when timing soft boiled eggs etc where setting the timer in full minute steps may be too much or not quite enough. The inbuilt frying sensor seems to opperate quite well as well as the pan pre-heating function. In future models I would like to see some customisable cooking control options - For example, provide the user with the ability to program the timer to bring an egg to boil and then have the cooktop automatically reduce its power to simmer for a couple of minutes to finish cooking that perfect egg...!
Replaced old Miele electric ceramic with induction. Looks good in place. Didn't realise it needs under bench ventilation. Most powerful domestic cooktop I have used, wok especially impressive. Very responsive both up and down temperature. So far easy to clean - but usual difficulty with black glass finish smears and smudges. Operation controls not madly intuitive but used to them now. Recommend.
