Bosch Serie 2 FFL023MS2B Freestanding Microwave, Stainless Steel, White / Single

Seems good but only had it for about a fortnight. Looks smart, fairly easy to use but need to refer to manual for defrost programmes. Fan runs on a short while after cycle finished which is good as it helps stop condensation.. Also if the door is left open after use the Internal LED light dims. The clock can be disabled when not in use, and beeps can be shortened in the settings. The touch controls do need a very firm press though and the door release button is a bit of a fingerprint magnet. Early days but seems a well thought out product.

Basic microwave

A very neat microwave which I bought fpr my elderly mother because of the simplicity of the controls and the quality associated with Bosch. However I as yet cannot get her to understand how to select the power and then turn the dial to set the time. For me it is great to be able to select the power as I always use my own microwave on full power by pressing the 30 second quick start as I cannot fathom how to select other power levels. I think though for some it would be better to have the power levels labelled as P1, P2 etc. as I think the 90, 180, 300 etc. is confusing my mum. The light in the microwave is absolutley rubbish! How did this get to the manuafacturing stage? It is noisy and disconcerting that the fan continues making such a noise after cooking. Doesn't do lower Watt settings

I rang Bosch before ordering to check it does the lower Watt settings, continuously. I have solar-panels and need to use lower Watts when it's not sunny. I was reassured. I read all the product info. too. BUT it only uses 800W intermittently for lower W settings. I have now found out that the type of microwave that does lower W uses an INVERTER , not a magnetron. Anyone want a new microwave ?!

Good microwave

This microwave is compact, efficient, and very easy to use. However, it has two very annoying features and, for that reason, I can't give it 5 stars. Annoying feature number 1: when the time is up, the audible sign just goes on and on, and it's a relly irritating tune, sometimes I can't get to the microwave quick enough because I am doing something else that I can't just drop, and it drives me crazy. Annoying feature number 2: when the time is up, the cooling fan continues operating, I had never had a microwave like this; normally when you push the button to stop the microwave or when it reaches the end of its cycle, the fan stops at the same time. That's not the case with this particular microwave and the fan noise is really loud.

Microwave

I have had the oven for 6 days now and have found it easy to use. I am pleased with the design and finish. It seems more efficient than my last microwave oven. The only minor negative is the light in the oven, it is almost nonexistent.I am of the older generation and found I could not register the microwave by phone so spent 3hours doing it online. A small point but I felt worth mentioning. Overall I am very pleased with the oven and definitely worth the 5 points.

Review of Bosch FFL023MW0B(CIH) Microwave - White

Great unit would certainly recommend it. It is very easy to use with all the instructions right on the front control panel, such as the various power levels and times. The noise signal it makes alerting you to the fact that the program you chose has finished is quite pleasant and stops automatically after 10 to 15 seconds. The build quality is excellent.

Still getting familiar with it.

Very early days with only limited use. Looks good so far hence 4 stars. Seems to be more powerful than the appliance it replaced (both 800W). The controls are easy to use and it does not suffer from internal condensation to any significant degree. I get the impression that the cooling fan air is passed through the cooking space, if so this is a great step forward. Still to use most of the features but off to a promising start.

noisy

this is my second appliance of same model. first one had to be returned because of a fault with the fan. second one still noisy because of vibration from ill fitting casing ( or something).A repair was done but now still noisy with vibration .No complaint with customer service but fed up that I have been let down with the product and disheartened to have to contact them yet again and arrange for someone to come out and look at it again . now thinking i'll just put up with it. I've had a Bosch microwave before and it was never as loud as this. Apart from that it works as it should and the fan is why I bought it so no puddle of condensation after use.
