Compact, lightweight and reasonably powerful this vacuum is certainly not a Miele in its feel or quality. This in every way is a budget machine. It feels slightly flimsy and the hose and tubes are thin and an adequate push fit with no locking catches. Supplied with a single bag and 2 attachments it is adequate for smaller jobs and smaller living spaces. It was well priced with a John Lewis discount and delivery was quick and up to John Lewis's usual high standard. It looks good and is easy to carry but somehow it doesn't do justice to the name Bosch. 3 Stars I'm afraid.

Ordered for a smaller property on which it works very well. Lightweight, good suction but a little noisy but no doubting it's effectiveness. The cord is a good length and extends and retracts easily. The bags are a decent size and are easy to replace. The nozzle attachment is a strange thing so we bought a longer device when buying additional bags (from Bosch).Good price and guarantee from John Lewis and delivery first rate.

I have used a Henry Hoover in my home for over 20 years, which has never been replaced and I've have never had a problem with it. However, as the Henry is heavy, I needed a more compact, lightweight vacuum cleaner for a rental house and the Bosch Series 2 cylinder vacuum cleaner seemed ideal. .....but it didn't for me. Great suction. It works brilliantly on hard floors, but I couldn't get it to do what I want, which is to vacuum up my long-coated cat's hair stuck on my Wilton-type rug pile, or any of my carpeting. I have been used to a small upright vacuum for the past 14+ years (not now still in production sadly), but hoped this model would suit me. Sadly not. I have returned it.

Easy to use and lightweight and vacuums well. However, the retractable cable mechanism has been problematic from the beginning. Now, after 3 months the cable is stuck at approx 600m long and will not pull out any further. Chat with Technical Support and was told l have to contact Bosch for repair. Not acceptable, and feel let down by JL as essentially the contract is with the seller, not the manufacturer.
I wanted a small, low power and lightweight cleaner for use aboard my boat, and this cleaner seems to fit the bill. I’m surprised how good the suction is given it’s size, making it powerful enough for most domestic situations too. It doesn’t come with a small soft brush for dusting shelves etc so had to purchase a generic one of these separately. The cable is a basic oval type rather than the higher quality round flex as found on some more expensive cleaners but sure it will last fine.
This hoover was easy to put together. The package inc one hoover bag, so within a matter of minutes it was up and ready to go.I am satisfied with my purchase. As per reviews I read prior on this website, this hoover is small, light and easy to use. Because it's so light, it does feel a bit flimsy, however it does a better job of picking up bits on my carpet than my previous hoover.Good value for money.
I have just spent 1hr 30mins trying to register for the 10yr motor guarantee as per leaflet enclosed with purchased item. After setting up an account for 'one key' and going through the various stages of this several times. I have been unsuccesful in registering my item. Telephoned helpline, call handler was polite but unable to help and seemed to want to get off the line to me so they could speak to another caller. I am now struggling to close the 'one key' account! So far I am pleased with the vacuum cleaner in its self. The reason I purchased the item was firstly, the name BOSCH, which has such a good name for quality etc and also because it was an excellent price.
