This is my second BOSCH series 6 dishwasher and it's the best. From easy one button programs to multiple options such as super dry this dishwasher has all situations covered. And 2 quick wash programs when you're in a hurry. And it can be programmed via the Home Connect app on your phone or tablet. Aquastop gives me reassurance against flooding. Love the multi-colour display that lets you know the status of the wash (time remaining, etc) and the all stainless steel door (no cheap plastic top section like some other brands). Super quiet at 44dB means you hardly notice that it's running. For those DIYers this is easy to install and you do get the stainless steel kickplate as standard, contrary to the documentation on the BOSCH website. This is my first time owning a Bosch dishwasher, I choose this product as I was impressed with the quality of this dishwasher and the fact that it was made in Germany. It is a very sleek addition to my kitchen. It is quite easy to use and the instrucitons are very clear. I was very impressed by the efficiency of the washing cycle, much faster than my previouls dishwasher. It is also really quite, you would hardly know it was on. I cannot recommend this machine highly enough and will never use any other brands again. Do yourself a favour an buy a Bosch Series 6 dishwasher.

But the upper basket has red levers on each side which prevent the basket coming fully out until you press them. Probably needed for free standing but not necessary for a fixed machine. They are incredibly awkward to reach and push to release the basket for stacking, especially when there are dishes in the front half. Very bad design. Look, as far as dishwashers go it does okay. It's not great. I bought it to replace an Asko whose water pump had failed and needs replacing. There were no Asko's available until the end of March, so we had to go with a Bosch. It cleans, it's quiet but it does not have the cleaning power of my older dishwasher and EVERYTHING comes out wet, even when using the 'Extra Dry' setting. This never ever happened with my Asko. The build quality is also sub par considering the price paid; lots of plastic inside and a dubious seal around the door. Asko's are all stainless steel inside, washer arms included with a clean tight seal. It was difficult to install, and we've installed our fair share of dishwashers over the years. The absolute worst thing about this dishwasher is the internal design. Whoever designed it does not use a dishwasher or has never stacked one in their life. It's supposed to be able to load 14 place settings, yeah, in your dreams, absolutely not happening. The plate slots are all different sizes, the height on the upper rack cannot accommodate tall glasses/objects, the cutlery basket is practically useless and there is no where near the amount of room to place a full load of dinner dishes for a family of four. I am currently doing 2 loads of dinner dishes per night, which is ridiculous. This dishwasher is going to be replaced once my old Asko is repaired and I would not recommend it to anyone who wants a decent dishwasher. It works okay in a pinch but I would never buy another Bosch again. I am more disappointed than I thought I'd be with this purchase, but still happy to not be washing everything by hand.

I have absolutely no regrets buying this awesome dishwasher - I highly recommend it!
Chose this Bosch for its configurable plate holders. Everything folds down separately. Choice to use either the cutlery basket or the cutlery tray. Can put tall glasses down on the bottom shelf. The middle shelf is easily height adjusted. Everything comes out clean and you can customize all of the settings via you phone. Everything comes out completely clean and beautifully dry. So impressed by how quiet it is. We are absolutely loving it.

Im happy with the quality of the series 6 and its operation. However the installation is less straightforward than it could be. The inlet hose has an irregular shaped pressure regulator on its end, which didn't fit through the access hole to where the water tap is. Moreover, the hose fitting is 20mm, while 15mm taps are common. The solution is to use an extension hose and converter fitting-but that took a trip to the hardware store. Why not include an extension hose and alternate fitting with the machine? Also the kick plate at the base was fiddly to attach.
