We bought this to replace our 14 year old Bosch condenser dryer. Although the reviews were mixed, we definitely made the correct choice. The clothes come out just as expected and the feature to add extra 'dryness' to each programme enables us to fully customise our drying requirements. Having previously owned a combo washer/dryer, i had not used the dryer feature that much as it used a lot of energy, was noisy and did not actually dry the clothes properly. Now having used the Bosch Serie 6 Heat Pump Dryer, i can say i am a convert! With its stacked installation above our washing machine, it's easy to transfer clothes after a wash. The 8kg capacity means that it can take a large load quite easily but the two best features are that it is is extremely energy efficient! I am able to track the electricity usage of appliances in my house and i can see that this dryer is so much more efficient then my old combo machine and with the added bonus that clothes actually come out ready to wear. I was very excited to receive my dryer as my old dryer was on it's way out and outdated. The Bosch Heat Pump Dryer had so many great features including the self-cleaning condenser in the Dryer is a great feature as it is one less thing I need to worry about. But the best feature of the dryer is the AutoDry Sensor which allows the clothes to be dried to the exact degree of dryness that I require. Another great feature is the half load option which allows me to do small loads which the dryer adjust to. The dryer is very quiet during operation, which is great. I've never used a heat pump dryer before due to them being quite pricey but i have say, this thing will pay for itself in the amount of electricty it seems to save! It's incredibly quiet and the fact i don't have to keep an exhaust fan on in the laundry any more is amazing! I love everything about this dryer, from the looks to the features, it is honestly one of the best household buys i've made in a very long time! Having also bough the matching washing machine, this dryer looks amazing sat ontop of the washer and it's so easy adding clothes straight from the washer. The features this has are amazing, an option for everything and i've found it does infact dry clothes perfectly, without overheating or damadging.
