I FELL IN LOVE THE FIRST SECOND I HEARD THIS SET UP! The sound was perfect to my ears. I thought I had a state of the art PA system I have used for many years. I was using JBL SR speakers and Crown Macro Tech 5000i amps. My system sounded great but I was hurting my back at every show I did. I have hit songs from a decade ago and before so I know my sound systems. I enjoyed every detail these speakers gave me and my fans. The bass was tight and over all it was amazing and saved my back!

Overall:What can be said about BOSE? You get what you pay for. I am a wedding DJ and went through Mackie, Behringer, QVC, EV....even had an HK line array system. Always looking for better and more portable. As a mobile DJ I love being able to set up and tear down quickly. My last rig was an L1 Model 1 with a 2B bass. I was going to move up to an L1 Model 2 with dual 2B bass cabs, but the F1 came out. The sound is AMAZING. I have ran this thing just on the edge of clipping for hours and it is so nice. Frank Sinatra at lower levels is superb and Usher maxed out is just as good. I bought two of these. The tops and bottoms, so close to 5K invested. One set is perfect for most every wedding, I bring both sets out for school dances and such. However, two sets, even ... MoreOverall:What can be said about BOSE? You get what you pay for. I have been asked to "turn it up" at a prom...but for weddings.....one set is so perfect. And you never really blast anyone out so bad that the venue is telling you to turn it down. And maxed out, it is CRYSTAL CLEAR. If you need to pound your dance floor into the ground, you may be better off with something more traditional...some 15's pole mounted on a pair of nasty subs. But if QUALITY of sound is more important, you cannot go wrong with BOSE!!

I have had my F1's (mains and subs) out for almost 2 years now. These are rock solid speakers. Great design, great sound quality, lightweight, durable, and dependable. Best sound purchase I've made in years. When I bought these, I was dealing with some serious back problems, and their light weight/output level was a real selling point. What has impressed me, since buying them is how dependable and versatile they are. I mixed a seven piece soul band last Saturday for a wedding with 150 people with no issues. Plenty of headroom, solid lows all night long. The internal cross-over is really well designed. I never need external processing with these. Anyway- thanks for the great product.

Today's DJ have to play everything and it better sound great with lots of bass. I Love the bose F1 subwoofer because they are lightweight and powerful. I don't need a crew and U-haul truck to move speakers. By itself the speakers sound flat so, A little tweak on the DBX DriveRack PA2 with the EQ and compression. After that Magic, Vibes and the dance floor.
I use a pair of F1"s and two of the s1 pros for monitors plus the Tone match 8 for a board. It works well for crowds as small as 100 to 1000 plus.I have used without the monitors as well and would say unless you have a loud band behind you the monitors are not necessary, I enjoy the system( it runs quite) no hum. It's way more time consuming to set up than the other Bose systems. But much louder than my L1 or L2's by far. You can hook up all the systems together for big outdoor events.
Bose sound systems deliver better sound than any speaker near its price point and size.My favorite characteristic of the F1 812 is it's consistent coverage, meaning that it the sound is as ineligible in the back of the room as it is right up in the front row.I have completed 100 events since February when I purchased these, and even still they bring me great pleasure at every event. The sound is not fatiguing like a conventional "DJ" speaker but with its consistent coverage, adding extra F1 subs has proven to be amazing. It truly is "BIG CONCERT SOUND"My current setup consists of 4 F1 Subwoofers and 2 F1 Model 812 modules. Enjoy the images
I've been kicking around the idea of a small portable system for a while. While in Fresno Ca., I decided to buy one F-1 sub to experiment with. I and already heard the QSC K-12's and 181's live at the Grand Casino Ballroom east of Oklahoma City and other systems demonstrated in-store. I am all-in on the Bose system simply because of the torture test I gave the F-1. I drove it into limiting and I believe that it is capable of more! My plan was originally to buy 4 F-1's and 2 812's but after testing my single F-1, 4 of them may be overkill. The results I came up with are as follows: The F-1 IS capable and strong. the limiter will activate and is slow to release I did not hear or otherwise detect any audible loss in db or quality of sound. I have a Roland TD-30 kv kit ... MoreI've been kicking around the idea of a small portable system for a while. While in Fresno Ca., I decided to buy one F-1 sub to experiment with. I have a Roland TD-30 kv kit and the F-1 takes my 808 auxiliary kick down in the weeds effortlessly! Thanks Guitar Center Fresno CA for selling such a great product. I can't wait to hear the complete F-1 812 system with the two extra subs on my own terms (buying it and really driving the product hard)! P.S., The sub also passed the teenager bass test because my daughter came running in saying "whatever you just hooked up was shaking the car outside and I'm having a hard time listening to my music"... Teenagers!
These Powered Subwoofers really complete the F1 system. The F1 alone has incredible high-end and does a good job on the overall range, but the Powered Subwoofers really add the punch. Depending on your use, you may not need two of these. One really kicks in the bottom, but two is spreads the sound.
If a woofer cannot play down to 20 Hz, then it is not a true subwoofer in my opinion. Sure it may add some impact to the low end but with its frequency response being -3db at 45 Hz it leaves a lot to be desired. What it does do, it does well though.
Well, we've been running our F1 system (F1-812 mains and F1 subs) for over a year now, and they have become our "goto" system. The compact, lightweight design, flat response, and controllable vertical coverage makes them as convenient as they are versatile. We are a mid sized sound company, and we have many systems here to work with. We run everything from corporate talkback/power point presentations to wedding bands to theater shows with these boxes. They handle pretty much whatever we need them to. Personally, I love the natural, unhyped sound. And the subs really do have surprising punch for their size and weight. The main and sub together weigh less than what other powered subs we have weigh. That means one person can handle set up and break down instead of two. ... MoreWell, we've been running our F1 system (F1-812 mains and F1 subs) for over a year now, and they have become our "goto" system.
