Bought these speakers for the galley on my teardrop camper. They mounted to the galley lid perfectly. They sound incredible. I would recommend them to anyone looking to put some tunes in their boat , rv , or vehicle. Easy installation. Quality mounts and nice appearance. I will be buying an additional set for my golf cart.

Decent "under the eave" speaker . I just set up a 70V system for my barns and yards. I have these on 10W taps of the 70v transformers for secondary lower volume areas.. Also have some Polk, JBL outdoor and some Boss outdoor speakers . I'd say if you just want to be able to hear music real basic then these are fine. At 30 bucks, im happy with these for around the barns and yards. They are DEFINITELY 200W . After using these a while, i'd say these are more like 30W . I have 10 speakers in various locations, im using these in auxilary locations where i dont need real loud sound. Under an eave for a walkway between a barn and another out building ...also have one in a 10x16 ft area i do plant cuttings . I got these knowing they wouldn't sound like the system in my truck, but wanted something that sounded decent. These sound decent for my fishing boat so not to much to complain about as the music will primarily stay at a low level. They have ok bass, just enough to make them sound good, worth it for fishing boats or gold carts. The wire connects are a bad design where they're sunk in and hard to get fat fingers in there to put the wires in, not sure what the thought process was on doing this as they could have made it flush on the back and made life easy.

I have been buying enclosed speakers for 45 years. On a scale of 1-5 the sound from these is a 3......maybe 3.5 for the price. BUT, and this is huge - the wire connections are absolute awful! I would give them a -1 !!!!! If you place a finger on the black and red "connectors" - they will fall away, and if not careful, the #$@#$ spring will go ....bye-bye!! Even the slightest pressure pulls the plastic out and away from the stationary piece - and once pulled away, it will NOT go back...... After the first try and 20 minutes placing the spring and other piece BACK into the speaker - I came to the conclusion that any wire size is too large! I was using a typical speaker wire, maybe 18 gauge, I had to cut the insulation and then cut 75% of the wire leaving about 10 strands to carefully place in the hole to allow the spring loaded arm to push back - after doing this I taped down the wire to the back of the speaker, fearing ANY movement would cause the wire to come out. Time will tell as to the sound and connection holding up.

I own a 2015 KZ 20RBS with a Jensen Stereo/DVD player and have been disappointed in the sound of the system since it was new. The A-channel are the two cheapy inside ceiling mounted speakers and the C-channel are the outdoor speakers. Channel B was unused. I decided that I wanted to fix it where the TV would work through the stereo (The DVD would work through the speakers but not the TV) Head scratch ?? Since I was working with the system I decided that I would utilize Channel B and make the sound more full. Enter the BOSS 4.3" speaker set !!! I just got done installing them in the trailer and they sound amazing. I have a pretty good ear since I have been a musician for years and these little guys have an incredible frequency response with crisp highs full mid-range and surprisingly deep responsive bass. I couldn't be happier especially for the price. These speakers are a perfect combination for the Stereos that come in most Travel Trailers. They are well made and super easy to mount. ****Note I'm a person that likes to listen to music and movies at a medium volume level so I'm not sure how they would hold up if "cranked up". They are rated @ 200 watts but I've always only fed speakers half of their rated amount.

I purchased these speakers for installation in my new Motorhome. The 5 factory speakers did not cut it. I had a ledge over the driver area that allowed me to install and tie into the existing system. These greatly added volume and clarity without distortion . Be aware, the sound reproduced is strictly tweeter and high midrange. No bass but you cant expect any with a small enclosure like this. Overall I am happy with the speakers.

I was upgrading the audio system in an 1990 Toyota Truck. It's a standard cab so there isn't allot of places to place rear speakers. I found that these speakers where small enough to mount to the rear wall of the cab near the floor, facing up. A few self-tapping screws and the speakers where installed in ten minutes. These are well made. The directions are a little vague about what the purpose of various items where for. Plenty of power even for 4" speakers.

Rust
17 September 2022

I bought this 3 months ago and I see rust on the grill already. What a shame. I am a painter I know they used cheap paint. The sound is clear and loud. It does lack bass. Since I can paint anything. I can fix this, however since it is under warranty I will contact boss and see. I rather not spend time and money and new products.

These are big! I was thinking 4" small when purchased and did not read the specs. Beware that these are large. Another issue is that for the size of these enclosures, they do not produce very good sound. Don't get me wrong, they are worth the price, but are definitely lacking. The last issue is these are advertised as marine/water resistant... They are not! The grate and the bracket are already beginning to rust after only 3 weeks of use. They are on a pontoon boat and not openly exposed to water or the elements but are rusting anyway. If I could have a do-over I would not purchase these again.

for anyone that has a Jeep TJ, you know speaker locations are a premium. Without going to the soundbar system right behind your head, choices are limited. These speakers fit my design which was to place them on the roll cage, ounted strategically so the sound crosses each other, without blairing in your ear. A Kenwood Bluetooth radio completes the configuration and you have a work of art for a fraction of the price!
