Boss Waza Air Bass

I really do like this product, however the physical design and software is quite clunky - almost like it was developed 5-10 years ago. Updating the firmware requires you to access a separate micro USB port hidden behind a sticky foam pad (which is also hidden behind a headphone cup). You also need to download a zip-file and follow unnecessarily complicated instructions - which should not be the case in 2023. You really don't want to have to update the firmware too often.

Worth the cash. Manages deep tones nicely without sounding tinny. Love the wireless connection and being able to play along with fav tunes.

Amazing

Absolutely outstanding sound and real-time response to movements. App is great, perfect for any situation where low level practice is required!

Brilliant hardware tricky software!

Headphones and transmitter are clearly very high quality. The magnetic ear pads, the sound quality and the overall feel are amazing! Very well made. The only problem I had was connecting to the BTS Waza Air Bass Midi and BTS Waza Air Bass Audio apps on the phone. I had to update the system to version 1.21 on the headphones via the P.C. This was very tricky for me and apparently a little risky if things went wrong during the process, such as power cut. Seems to be working ok now but had a few days of frustration. When working the app is amazing giving you lots of varied sounds and options. Really blew my mind!I dropped a star because of the app issues.

Finally, some peace and noise!

I haven't even begun to explore the bluetooth/app possibilities and I can already tell I've gotten my money's worth. The thing sounds great and the fidelity is so high that I can hear all those mechanical shortcomings in my playing that need cleaning up. That's a little disconcerting at first, but so good for musicianship. I bought it because the pandemic has wrecked my chops. My wife and kid work and study from home, and I can't make loud bass noise like I used to because I'm never alone. Now I am, any time day or night.

First impressions: Blown away

This is just a quick review after having a quick play about with this. The sound quality is exceptional. The app controls are a bit of a faff but I’m getting used to them already. The range and customisation of effects and amp simulators is more than I could have wished for. But the sound… they just sound out of this world. The spatial gyroscope thing sounds like a gimmick, but it isn’t, it really adds to the experience.Did I mention they sound awesome?

Great sound!

Used this for the first time last week, and was blown away how good it sounded. Downloaded the app too, which gives you access to different amps, surrounds, amp positions and effects.Quite easy to use, but a downside is the effect controls on the app. It's not easy to set or adjust as they're rotary and on a touch screen.Apart from that I'd highly recommend the product.

Great tool for practice

Perfect for practice with a, super base sound with a nice app to adjust sound spectrum etc. Paring with any bluetooth device is easy. Happy with my purchase, now i can practice at any time without disturbing anyone.

Review of Boss Waza Air Bass Headphones

Great, if rather expensive headphones for bass practice. The big selling feature is the gyro, which aims to give the impression of an amp in a room by moving the sound when you move your head. I find this quite unnatural as theres not enough bleed into the opposite ear, when head is turned. With this turned off it sounds much more natural and infact does give a pretty good sense that the cab is behind your head. Has a ton of effects, which you can fiddle with on the app but I find myself just playing, regardless, which is a good indicator of the sound quality. Limited amp types but all very usable.
