I have used various humidifier methods in my humidor which were okay but required constant attention and maintenance. Once I used Boveda, boom, I won't use anything else. Simple and very efficient. My cigars age perfectly all the time.

I've used these for several years in both my Humidor and my "Ziplock humidors". I have several boxes of cigars stored in Ziplock bags. I have never experienced mold nor drying out while using these devices as they maintain a constant humidity and are long lived, especially in the Ziplock humidor. Drying out and mold are my two biggest concerns as some of my special cigars are several years ago. Even my junky Rum Soaked Puerto Rican hand rolled cigars are still fresh after 2 years. My traditional wooden humidor leaks so I go through them more often but I'm talking maybe 2 months or more. They last almost indefinitely in the Ziplock humidor. It's nice not having to worry about dried out cigars or filling humidifiers with distilled water. I like these Boveda RH packs for my humidor. I always have problems trying to maintain the proper RH for my cigars. These packs make it easy and efffortless without the messy sponge system. I went with the 69% this time, as the 72% seemed to keep my cigars a little too humidified where they wouldn't stay lit. I also bought the Wooden holder for the RH packs so the packets are not sitting on the cigars.

These packs keep my medical marijuana at 62%. No dry/moist flowers for me. Just perfect humidity. Will keep buying. Been using packs for years. Each pack last about 3-6 months.

Whether cigars or other means of controlling humidity, these are the way to go. Please be advised that they REQUIRE to be in a enclosed environment in order to be effective. If something is extremely over dried, dont expect these to bring the humidity back to 62% as described. They can however either raise or lower humidity to the target number on the pouch, but extreme swings probably wont work. For example, if something has 30% humidity, dont expect the pouch to bring it back to 62%, thats too low, Ive tried and at best it may raise it to 50-53. Obviously this is the case if the humidity is too high as well, which is the reason why burping your jars or whatever you are using is necessary to control the release of moisture. I've used Boveda 72% and 84% humidity packs for a few years now. They work great for keeping tobacco products/marijuana (tp/m) from dying out. Just put them with the tp/m and that's it. IMO, the 84% is a bit too humid for storing tp/m, but it works well for re-moistening dried out tp/m. To store extra Boveda packs, I keep them sealed in a ziploc bag in the fridge until I need them (when another pack hardens) and they stay fresh for a very long time. Some I've had for more than a year and they are still like new. The more they are kept out of sunlight, away from open air and at cooler temperatures, the longer they last. If tp/m is kept in a dark glass jar, that is occasionally opened and closed, in the fridge with a Boveda pack, the pack can easily last 6 months or ... MoreI've used Boveda 72% and 84% humidity packs for a few years now. This product works perfectly....and last longer than advertised. I have been using these packs for about a year; and I have never opened my closed container to find anything dried; my buds remain in perfect condition, ready to use.
So far so good. They arrived perfectly sealed, in a resealable bag. I placed one of them into my small humidor. The one thing I do not like about this product, when compared to it's competitors, is it that it does not provide an indicator as to when the bag itself needs to be replaced.
I really like the Boveda 69% RH packets. They’re so simple to use, last a long time, and not that expensive. I also use the smaller packets in my travel humidors. I have since thrown away all the jars with beads that need refilling and other humidifiers. Oily use Boveda now. Very happy customer!
