We've owned European cars for the past few years and the front wheels in particular get filthy from the brake dust. A real pain to clean. I tried several different wheel cleaners and wasn't really impressed by any of them. I had avoided buying Bowden's Wheely Cleaner as I thought it was too expensive. Then one day I did. Revelation - it did an amazing job, and didn't need to use much of it. So that's all I buy now. It is dear but a bottle goes a long way and the wheels come out sparkling. As they say, you get what you pay for.

I sprayed 2 wheels with another brand and ran out. I continued with the Borden’s wheel clean for the remaining 2. After a minute it was obvious the Bowden’s cleaner was removing significantly more grime off the wheels judging by the puddle of grime Left on the ground. After finishing the wheel clean, I resprayed the 2 wheels cleaned the another brand with Bowden’s and again, significant amount of grime came off agin. I will be using this product as preferred brand in the future.

Positive - Does what the product says. I have Audi 19" wheels & low-profile tyres, so there is a lot of the inside of the wheel showing. The wheely clean got rid of the brown baked on brake dust and left the wheels like new again. Even the Brake calipers look better.Negative - the spray bottle contents disappear quite quick. after four wheels two thirds or more of the bottle had gone and I can't say I put it on very thick. It will get expensive using the product frequently. Hopefully now the brake dust is gone the wheels will be easier to keep clean.

Honestly don't understand how anyone gives this more than 1 star. It's 100% useless. I sprayed it on twice just to test and hosed off, no dirt removed. I scrubbed and it somewhat worked. What's the point if you need to scrub anyway. You can use a basic soap for that. I replaced with a simple PH neutral degreaser for $10 and that works so much better. I used to use other wheel cleaners and they worked well. I think they just put water in my bottles
A top product that loosens brake dust immediately and requires minimal physical brushwork to clean the wheels. The downside is that you need to be generous in applying it to get into the barrel of the wheel and, as a result, the product was used entirely across my two vehicles. The cars are washed at least fortnightly so the build up is not too heavy. It is too expensive when you calculate the cost per wheel, and unfortunately I won't be a repeat purchaser.
This Wheel cleaner was looking great and works great. I like to see my car alloy wheels 🛞 shiny and no grime after wash it. I spray this chemical over the wheels then spray them with water it looks shiny and I love how I see the rims shine and clean.Definitely I will buy more this product if it’s on sale with reasonable price.
I have used lots of different wheel cleaner products over the years, and this is one of the best. I have found that it lifted nearly all the brake dust and grime built up over a month or so, with only a slight agitation. The only negative I have is that I need to use more of it than I have with other products. The spray does not seem to spread out enough and found I had to use more product to get total wheel coverage. Could just be a dodgy spray function, but after only 4 rounds of wheel washes, I am down to bit over half a bottle, which makes it expensive already with the higher price.
I purchased a bottle of this today, and applied it in accordance with the directions. It turned purple, however it didn't live up to it's description. I reapplied it on a second occasion, making sure I followed the directions........... BUT it did not do what it was supposed to do. I found that I got a better result using warm water mixed with detergent and scrubbed with a hand broom. My pocket would be alot better off had I not purchased it, and just used warm water, detergent and a scrubbing brush
I normally only use a BMW marketed wheel cleaner that is sold with their Car Care Packages + separately at the dealership. However, after watching the Supercheap product video, I observed that the Bowdens Wheel Cleaner is exactly the same cleaning liquid as the BMW product. The Bowdens cleaner comes in a 770ml bottle (BMW 500ml) and is cheaper than the BMW cleaner!The product itself is simply “the best on the market” by a country mile. It dissolves brake dust and grim straight off the wheel rims, without any additional scrubbing in those difficult hard to get to places.100% recommend the Bowdens Wheely Cleaner.
Just as the other reviewers have said: This product works! The more dirt the better it works. Have you bought a used vehicle (surely you would clean your own wheely's if you had them from new?) this is the product for your dirty wheely's. I used it on my normally well cleaned wheely's and it still got brake pad dirt off. It's not unlike Bowden's Own "Three Way" for removing iron on your paintwork. Smells the same and looks the same while it is working, but no doubt there are differences which are unseen. Either way both are great products and produce good results.
