Bowers & Wilkins M1 Satellite Speaker - White

Off the back of an in store recommendation from AudioT Manchester, I bought two of these to augment the home cinema set up. Very impressed. For music they have revealed 'new' instruments, notes and vocals previously lost in old speaker set up.They look beautiful and hiding the wires and hex key in the base is a great trick. Currently mounted upside down as rear Left and Right in a 7.1 home set up. They are happy whether kicking out some hard action film score, or any other music genre I've thrown at them so far. Thoroughly reccommend.

Amazing Speakers for a 15'x15' room

I included four of the Bowers & Wilkins 4" satellite speakers in a 5.1 setup together with a Bowers & Wilkins 700 series Center Channel speaker. Before my purchase, I did extensive research on the speakers. I also requested a demo at my local Best Buy Magnolia store. I am extremely satisfied with my purchase. While they are small in size compared to floor standing speakers, they worked perfectly in a 15' x 15' room. Their size also allow them to not be an eye sore, as I did not want to have huge speakers in a small room. If you have a similar size room, I definitely recommend these speakers. They provide more than enough sound to fill the room. On a side note, there have been several instances where my family and I have been fooled by the surround sound, thinking ... MoreI included four of the Bowers & Wilkins 4" satellite speakers in a 5.1 setup together with a Bowers & Wilkins 700 series Center Channel speaker. Big noise from such a well made little speaker

I ordered this Bowers & Wilkins M-1 Satellite speaker in white after speaking to Karl from the Solihull Branch of Richer Sounds on the phone & the very next day it was delivered. Why just one speaker. Because I inherited four from an Uncle & I was soo impressed with the sound coming out from the M-1 Satellite speakers I decided to buy another one instead of using my Television as the Centre speaker. Just unbelievable sound coming from such a well made little speaker.

Fantastic sound, well made neat speakers

I recently purchased a further two Bowers and Wilkins M1 speakers. The first thing to say is how clear the sound is from such small speakers. The majority of mine are wall mounted. Everything you need for this is included in the box. Mine are used for front right, left and centre as well as surround at the rear. These offer really good value for money.

Geek Squad was wonderful

Geek Squad came in and did an excellent installation of our new surroundsound system, and AV set up. They were able to get everything installed neatly and in the timeframe allotted. They cleaned up after themselves so it look like they were never there. Also, they went over the system and the remote control for my wife and me to make sure we knew how to use the new system. The agents for very patient and walked her through how to use a new system and the TV.

Great performance. Pricey, Over designed

These speakers perform very well for my side surrounds. They are compact for the sound and the white color blends in well on the wall/ ceiling. That being said, they are quite pricey for surround use. Where the performance shows is in 7 speaker music playback, which is maybe 10% of my use.The speaker converts from table stand to wall mount, and runs the speaker wire in an interesting and complicated way to try to hide it, but it doesn’t really clean up the install THAT much. Coming from an engineer, It is over engineered. The important part, the wire connection, is BAD on the wall setup. the wire set screws barely hold a wire and strip out easily. I tried tinned wires and non-tinned.All in all, glad I have them, but can’t help but think I could have found a ... MoreThese speakers perform very well for my side surrounds. M-1'S are M-azing!

Upgraded from boxy Definitive bi-pole X1. For the size, this speaker is IMPRESSIVE and sounds much bigger than its size. Extremely well balanced Tight low bass, clean mids and crystal clear highs deliver an all around enjoyable experience. Sleek design and solidly constructed, these are hard to beat for size vs. Performance and price. Very pleased with them after a week of watching TV, movies, and listening to music. Using as rears with Yamaha Aventage Rx-A 1080 receiver. Favorite setting is 7 channel stereo with music. Pure bliss.... highly recommend!!!

Phenomenal sound in this small package!

Phenomenal sound in this small package! I integrated into my system powered by SonosAmp and pairs with Sonos gen3 subwoofer and we couldn’t be happier with the crystal clear high end and beautiful midrange these gems are capable of. Solid and dense sound when you thump the side-no unwanted resonance here! Just the look alone is amazing but the sound that the M-1 can reproduce is really impressive! Bravo and these should be a “Go-To” for a smaller size speaker. Ingenious placement of the adjustment tool in the base/bottom support of the speaker-you’ll never forget where that oddball wrench is because it’s stored in the base! Brilliant design touch.

Small details make Big differences

The idiom says g-d is in the details, and sometimes the small things can really change an experience. In this case I needed some rear surround speakers to fill in the "holes" behind my listening area, and am not ready to go the whole atmos route yet. John and Shawn at Worldwide are always there with the right solution, and this was perfect. Mounted high behind the seating these B&W M-1s just do an amazing job of supplying the surround experience, and really shine when blasted with the occasional rock session. Small yes, but mighty!
