I love these cups, they are amazing for morning coffee and a night of unwinding. My one complaint is I got two of the same cup about a month apart and they were different. I received one as a gift and loved it so much I ordered another to have a set. The one I received has a gold-like shine and undertones whereas the one I ordered is matte. Both were ordered from the Brumate site, not a secondary seller. I do with they were the same, but the functionality is the same. Gift is on the left, the one I ordered is on the right.

I have other items in dark aura, and I absolutely love them so I was super excited to get the trio in this colour. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. I was completely shocked at the poor quality of the colour. It came with marks on it and the coating was peeling off in some areas. I tried washing it and that just made it worse. It still works for its intended purpose, but it's all sticky and hideous and I'll probably never use it again. Very upset considering the price and ridiculous cost of shipping to Canada. :(

I couldn't resist the dark aura color finish, but I wish I'd picked a different one. First, the packaging bag the trio came in apparently interacted with the finish, leaving a weird tacky residue that didn't come off at all the first time I washed it. I tried gently scrubbing it with a zero scratch scotchbrite sponge and it did eventually come off, leaving a much nicer feeling finish that didn't show fingerprints or attract dirt. However, the clear coat appears to be scraping off in a spot already. I don't carry it anywhere except between the kitchen and my desk, and it has only been hand washed.It does keep my can of soda cold and is very easy to use, it's just the finish that's a disappointment. The Hopsulator works as advertised. It keeps you can cold for an absolutely ridiculous amount of time, even in direct sunlight while sipping on a canned beverage poolside,. It does its job remarkably well. However, this color, though it looks pretty, is a total disappointment because it is sticky and weird. It attracts lint, dust, dirt, and sand like a magnet and is impossible to clean. Even after a nice hand washing with soap and water, it’s still crazy sticky. Get a solid color, those are smooth, look great, and easy to keep clean. “Dark Aura” needs to be redone or discontinued. I regret buying it and it will likely end up in the recycle bin before long.
I have used Brümate products in the past and for my birthday this year I decided to treat myself by purchasing a Hopsulator Trio in Dark Aura color. When I received the product the paint was scratched and it had an unusual texture on the outside. I was unhappy with what I purchased so I reached out to customer care and they resolved the issue promptly. They ordered a replacement cup in a different color to be delivered. They have designed a good product that is durable and useful and they stand behind what is produced. It is worth purchasing their products.
I have several other Brumate items but I always find myself reaching for my trio! I'm petite so the size of this tumbler is PERFECT for me. I use it for coffee, cans with the included ice pack, juice, water, and mocktails. I love how even when keeping drinks cold it doesn't sweat. I also love when I have hot coffee in it, the outside temperature isn't hot. Then only thing I don't like is how the outside protective layer shows damage from washing it, so the dark aura appears to be shiny where the protection has been rubbed off.

I am by no means tough on my belongings, but nevertheless there are multiple light scratches on the cup... pretty sure they're from my car cupholder while using as a coffee tumbler. Definitely would've been nice to have powder coat paint to add some protection/durabilityPush-Lock Gasket- gasket doesn't always seem to stay screwed into the trio base when removing empty cans. Most of the time it's fine, but once in a while gasket come out with can when removing. Curious if the threads on my gasket are just a bit off in sizing, or if there's simply too much friction with the can being removed sometimes. Not like I can't just unscrew the gasket to remove cans and like I said, doesn't happen all the time, so not a big deal, just a small concern
With the Arctic adapter I can keep a can of soda for 8+ hours. I can sip on it without it getting warm or watered down from ice. It’s so awesome that we have already bought another and extra adapters so we can always have one cold and waiting. It’s also great as a cup, it keeps my milk nice and cold. I can’t recommend this product enough. Photo is with adapter and 12oz can. It’s super easy to grip, especially because I have small hands. It’s weighted nicely so it doesn’t knock over easily, which is great with cats. With the lockable spill proof lid it would be great for kids.
I absolutely love the versatility of the trio. Put the lid on and I have a cup for 16oz of hot or cold with a leak proof lid. Throw it in my purse or bag and have no fear of spills. It fits in all my cars cupholders. Snug in one but none the less can still be at my disposal. No lid I have myself a can coozie. Drop the ice puck in for 12oz cans or leave it out for 16oz cans. Keeps my drinks cold. I can throw anything in it from soup to ice cream too! So it's great for both hot and cold. Versatility, quality, design all make it all worth the $$.
Coffee mug, can coozie, iced can coozie, cup for any beverage basically… the Trio has you covered! My husband and I only on occasion drink from cans, but I am always using my Trio. It was initially used for hot coffee, but as the weather warms up, it’s holding more iced drinks! And when we go camping, the cans come into play - so it’s coozie time!
