Arrived with a small dent in the corner but otherwise a decent trashcan. I expected it to be more “high-end” for the price. It seems like a poor design having the bins only fit in properly if they’re rotated a certain way. Also doesn’t have a “hole” to shove the excess trash bag into to keep it in place, basically forcing you to use the custom size bags in order to take advantage of the beauty and functionality of the design. The open/close function is very smooth and I do appreciate the ability to have the lid stay open. The design is aesthetically very pleasing and simple and ultimately that is why I purchased.

I like the colour and the look of the design. Most compost bins are ugly. However, the lid comes off too easily Its such poor construction. And the size is not very convenient. At the moment, my only consolation is that it makes me take the compost out often so that means less risk of smells and bugs, but its also annoying how quick it fills up

Large but neat way of tidying up our recycling boxes off the counter top and organising all in one place. See easy to pick up a 30l container and empty o/s for recycling collection once/twice a week. I would prefer the push close lid to the pedal bin style, and maybe 2 separate psh lids but all seems to work fine. Just that with the foot mechanism below, the height is increased so lid now bangs on our countertop underside (the bin has always been under a small countertop overhang).

The fact that perfect fitting bags can also be purchases is an added bonus so that the bags are never overflowing from the tip of the bin. The pedal appears to operate well for now but cannot comment on durability since we have only had the item for a few weeks. One thing I would add as a very minor issue is that it doesn't seem to be overtly clear if the internals can be changed on these bins for example this is a bin with 2 inner buckets but traditionally councils have 3 bins compostable, non compostable and recycling hence it would have been good if we could have converted this 2x into a 3x inner bin but its not quite clear if this is ... Not sure how excited you can get about a bin but I'm sure most would love this bin. It is stylish, a good size, nice colour, practical and does what it says on the tin. Believe it or not, I have had compliments. Was thinking about purchasing for a while as a little dearer than most but with the 10 year warranty, I'm sure it will be worth it. Definitely would recommend.

I had been looking for a solution to enable my recycling to sit alongside general rubbish in my kitchen, which is constantly on show due to its location. Brabantia have done really well with this double pedal bin - it looks really slick, works exceptionally well, and throughout the holiday period, has kept the kitchen free of clutter. It’s a pricey piece of kit, but I feel it will be worth the investment, and hopefully the quality it exudes will translate into a long lifespan!

I though Simplehuman was supposed to be the shizzizy, but they definitely didn't do a user experience test on it. I returned it and ordered this Brabantia instead and I'm way happier. It doesn't have any of those design flaws. This is a great dual bin trash can and I looked at a LOT of them. Only 1 side has a removeable bin so if a bag breaks you're leaning into that thing to try to clean it which would be extra hard given the small footprint. It's a bin, so not the most exciting thing I've ever bought - but this one looks neat and tidy and feels sturdy and well made. Bought cheaper bins last year, thinking I didn't want to spend on an expensive one - but they broke! Hopefully this one will stay the distance. Also got the Brabantia liners, having tried the free samples they included. Game changer!
