I think this drainer manages to blend both style and function really well. It's got really clean lines and the combination of grey and metal looks really smart. Practically, the fact that you can remove the cutlery holder makes it really easy when you come to clear the rack and put things away. Having the base and the rack gives you a good amount of space and I like that you can use the base on its own for larger items. The fact that it folds and can be put away means that it's ideal if you're short on worktop space. The only minor downside is that, unlike the larger brabantia draining rack, it doesn't have a lip that enable the water to run into the sink - although that might be a positive if you don't have space next to your sink.

Plate (of various sizes) don't stand up, there is little room for glasses if you have anything other than saucers on the rack. Makes a horrible scrapping noise when plates are added or removed.A real disappointment. I had hope that spend such a ridiculous amount of money would mean a product that worked. Alas this isn't it. Very pretty yes but frustrating and clunky to use. Surely that means a bad design?!

This replaced a standard one level metal wire drying rack, that we used to dry plastic items that came out of the dishwasher that needed airing. The plate rack comes with protective covers which are a good feature if you are concerned about damaging the pattern on your precious dinner service. The drying rack comes with a drip tray, however the tray doesn't have any holes for the water to drain away and the grooves are not deep enough, therefore water pools in the bottom. The drip tray would be ideal for anyone that doesn't have a draining board on their work surface. Although anything placed on the bottom could be left sitting in standing water and not dry effectively.
Love the fact this can fold away in a draw. It's very practical especially if people don't like leaving their dish drainer out. I would say it was great for my husband and I however if we had kids it would probably be a bit in the small side. I do love the stylish design.

This is a very well designed drying rack and you can fit plates and pots on it at one time. It was easy to set up, although the instructions were for the deluxe version with glass holders which made me feel I should have gone for that one! However, once I'd put that thought out of my mind, I was very happy with this one. I like the fact it can be folded up and put away - ideal for people who like to have clear work surfaces or who are maybe short on space.
Just had a new kitchen fitted with quartz worktop. We decided not to have draining grooves as we wanted more work space so looked every where for a draining board I could store. There are a few out there that caught my eye and were a bit cheaper but this did EVERYTHING.I can store it easily under the sink. It is suitable for all our crockery cutlery large pans tall glasses and you can just use the draining board without the rack. It also looks classy. So glad I made this choice.Delivery was also speedy and well packaged as it arrived well before the due date.
Bought this to replace an old stainless steel rack and because I'd got a new quartz worktop. I am only using the rack not the tray at the moment and it works well. I have a dishwasher so am only using the rack for larger items and glasses. It does the job and looks very stylish. No problems with plate stacking, as mentioned by previous reviewers, on the odd occasion I do use it for plates. I am very happy with the purchase so far and hope it stands up to use over time.
I've found myself using this much more than expected - especially for those items coming out of the dishwasher that need a little longer to drain before they're put away. This rack is really well made and looks great. I've had several comments about it from friends and family and the option of adjusting the width of the slots for thinner plates etc. is a bonus.
