Bins are not a fetish, but I do appreciate good quality and design. The dimensions are such that they fit unobtrusively into any designated corner or cubby hole - hanging or standing. And, rather than their circular equivalents, hold more waste - just one empty spray bottle seems to take up half of the space in the 12L round bins. The Brabantia bin liners, although slightly pricey, fit very well and consequently seem to last longer than cheaper liners.

Great under sink bin. We removed the lid flap so it’s an open bin in the under sink cupboard. Perfect size for ours. The collar keeps the bag in place. Good quality & nice colour.

Bought 2 X 16 litre & 2 X 6 litre in, one of each size in this 'mint' colour and the other 'dark grey'. Firstly 'mint' is a bad colour description, bit old fashioned and might put people off. It is actually a lovely soft turquoise colour. The 'turquoise and dark grey' look very good together in my kitchen.Particularly like the warm feel of the rubber type material they are made from, nothing here to chip, scratch or dint.As of now, I have them stood on the floor, with a 6 litre on top of a 16 litre and it works great. Quite expensive when wanting to buy a few all at once. The small size is a bit too small and pricey for what it is. Also Could have done with a little bigger than 16 litre as well, these fill up quite quickly.
I bought this to fit in the cupboard under the kitchen sink. It's just the right size to allow the lid to lift in situ. Also, it is very sturdy - the expected standard from Brabantia. Easy to empty as the top comes off and the bags fit snugly in the bin with the lid holding them in. Brilliant design.
I use this for food waste so I don't have to have the larger bin that the council provides indoors. The lid detaches for easy cleaning, it can be wall or cupboard door mounted with the included fixings. the handle doesn't get in the way. Works well with multiple types of biodegradable food waste bags - I use paper ones from Waitrose usually.
I didn't want a fixed rubbish/recycling option in our newly refitted kitchen and the range of Brabantia Sort & Go bins gives me the flexibility to use the bins to suit how I use the kitchen. Nice quality and a good range of sizes. I use one 16L bin for general rubbish, another 16L one for recycled cans etc and a 6L one for recycled food waste. Overall they are probably best suited for a small household or a larger one where the bins are emptied to a wheelie bin/recycling box most days.
Bought this one and another to replace an expensive floor-standing stainless twin unit from another respected manufacturer, which eventually failed due to broken plastic lid hinges. I fitted them to the front of 2 rarely-used cupboards (containing underfloor heating controls) – and I love them! Nothing to go wrong, and so versatile (in that they can easily be removed from their backplates for taking outside, if required)… and the lids stay upright when filling. Can’t believe how pleased I am with them!

i love it, simple, the lid closes easily and seals teally well so no smell comes out. it looks really classy as well 😀
