Jacket kind of look like the one pictured on the add. Although it feels Brandit & it has just one small tag on the inside that has Brandit on it, it does not have some of the tags/labels shown in the add. I lost lots of weight & owned a large from a few years back & compared the two jackets, definitely a difference.

Great jacket, everything I expected. The jacket works all year round, it’s a classic. Warm in winter with the lining in and smart in spring when you just need a lighter jacket. A really good buy.

High quality, very comfortable and very warm. I am 6ft 180lb, and XL fits just fine. I also have an Olive Green one in L, which is a bit tight for my liking, but it's Ok without the liner, for summer wear. The camo is is a bit lighter than on the photo, but very nice. Unlike the US Alpha, the fit is cut to follow the body line, so it fits much better.

Great parka. Only issue is it's a little different than the one I got about five years ago from Twisted Tactical that wore out. I bought this one to replace it. It's a little bit smaller size wise but acceptable. The liner doesn't have pockets like the old one did and the buttons snaps and zippers are a little different. Epaulets are a little different. Still a great coat. Just be aware it has a few minor differences than the ones they were selling 5 years ago that I got from Twisted Tactical which doesn't seem to exist anymore. Both coats came from the same place in the UK so I'm guessing transatlantic vintage surplus is the same company
Nice jacket, well made with just enough detail without making you look like Johnny Rambo or Tackleberry! These jackets are quite large fitting. Im normally XL but went for the L to wear as a light weight summer jacket. If youre wearing as a winter jacket with the liner fitted and other layers then youll probably want to order your usual size. The liner is actually dark brown, not black as it sometimes looks in photos.
I had read a lot of reviews and noticed how many of the reviews were very positive. Having received my own jacket I can confirm it is a nice piece of kit. It fits well, is well made, and it felt like I had already broken it in and been wearing it for months or years when I first put it on. I got mine in late spring and so have been wearing it without the liner. I haven't tried it in cold temperatures yet but I have no doubt it will be very warm with the liner inserted. A lot of reviews comment on the sizing and debate the merits of staying with your usual size or going down a size. I went a size down and went for a Small rather than a Medium (I am 5' 8" and about 11 stone). I went a size down and went for a Small rather than a Medium (I am 5' 8" and about 11 stone). In my case, the Small with the liner fits nicely, but would not give too much room for, say, a bulky fleece underneath, so maybe I could have got away with a Medium if I intended to only wear it with the liner in (not sure anyone would need a bulky fleece though if the liner was in). Without the liner, the jacket is loose but in a positive way. The waist draw cord let me pull it in to give it a bit of shape and not look too big: unzipped the air can circulate and I don't get too warm; zip it up and it will keep you warm on a cool day without the liner. Finally, it looks neither too "designer" or "tailored" for my tastes or too "army surplus" for my wife and two teenage daughters. I went for the olive drab but already wondering if I could justify a camo version and get that past the style police too.
Nice heavy jacket, well made of strong cotton material. It's a substantial piece of clothing even with the inner fleece lining removed, and with it in place would keep you warm in the hardest of winter weather.A word about sizing, I'm around 6ft and 75kg so chose a medium size which fits fine but then I'm also fairly slim., If you're a bigger build you might have to go for a larger size.Plenty of patch pockets but no inside pocket, no doubt because of the removable fleece. Two side pockets which I like to shove my hands into when the wind blows, not all coats have them plus two pull cords one at the bottom and another at the waist for a snug fit.A very good buy and one you won't regret making.
I have a few military jackets and this one is the best so far. It is comfortably roomy and very warm thanks to the removable inner lining - this is a jacket for all seasons. The overall construction seems very robust and the stitching is of good quality. Overall a practical garment rather than a fashion item - although some would definitely consider it cool!
Cool jacket ( especially having the Swedish camo look ) but fabric look like a kind of simple, some details as cords are of lower quality ..Overall a fair deal for the ones not expecting something @ a high end level..
just recieved jacket, two weeks to get here. good time considering how far it came. nice looking jacket. the big problem is the lining. its too thick. it messes up the sizing. i'm 5 11, weigh 224 lbs. 47 inch chest. i order XL on all my jackets. as well as this time. with the liner in, it fits me like a large. the zippers just meet. without the liner, fits like a XXL. its in the 90s here, so im bare chested . the liner would be too hot in all but the coldest climate. i don't intend to ever use the liner, so i wish i got the large. without the liner, it would fit like a XL. i usually just ware a tshirt under my jacket. if it gets reel cold i add a hoody. also zipper on wrong side, sleeves way too long. and pockets way to small. i don't think the chinese will ever get ... Morejust recieved jacket, two weeks to get here. good time considering how far it came. nice looking jacket. the big problem is the lining. its too thick. it messes up the sizing. i'm 5 11, weigh 224 lbs. 47 inch chest. i order XL on all my jackets. as well as this time. with the liner in, it fits me like a large. the zippers just meet. without the liner, fits like a XXL. its in the 90s here, so im bare chested . the liner would be too hot in all but the coldest climate. i don't intend to ever use the liner, so i wish i got the large. without the liner, it would fit like a XL. i usually just ware a tshirt under my jacket. if it gets reel cold i add a hoody. also zipper on wrong side, sleeves way too long. and pockets way to small. i don't think the chinese will ever get that right. i do like the jacket, 100% cotton shell, maybe i can shrink it down. Wave Inn a great place to shop.
