I have a very high density of beard hair but prefer to be as clean-shaven as possible. My previous Braun Series 3 was ok, particularly with a new head, however it was never great. This thing (the 9 Pro+) is another level! It has been such a pleasure to have a shave since buying it a few weeks ago, and the blades haven't lost any sharpness yet. It's an absolute joy to shave with, and doesn't come with loads of stuff that would just end up in landfill.I've used the cleaning station things in the past and it costs about £20/month just in cleaning fluid, and it's just not worth it. German Quality at it's best

Have purchased this item (verified) from ShaverShop 1 year ago so it's had 365 days of shaving. I did a lot of research before the purchase and decided to give Braun a go. I used to have a much lower proce range shaver and upgraded. I have very sensitive skin and use the old fashioned brush and shaver soap tp lather up my skin and then use the Braun to shave. At first I needed to get used to the weight of the shaver and it's sound. However, from a performance viewpoint I cannot fault it. It's powerfull yet gentle. The shave is as close as a blade. I used a blader every Monday after not shaving the weekend with the previous shaver as it would lay down the closeness needed for the following 4 days - but now no more. I use it twice a week - it's bulky and lives in ym vanity drawer .. but I must admit tht it keep the unit in superb clean condition. So much so that after 1 year use it still looks brand new. The replacement cartridges - not to environmentaly friendly as it's plastic. There are some hacks on the net to make your own liquid and just use 1 cartridge ... but I decided with my twice a week clean it stretches to 1 cartridge every 6-8 weeks. $50 for 5 cartridges - that will last nearly a year.I am super happy with this purchase ans can highly recomend it to anyone using soap lather to have this as a wet shaver.

Good Razor terrible Manual

This is the best razor I have used. It has features that I didn’t know about and of which there is no mention in the UK manual which is uninformative and useless. In fact it is a disgrace. I have since found a little more in the way of pictorial information in the ?Japanese instructions.I didn’t know initially , and the manual makes no mention of the fact that the razor has a rotating head, and I have thus figured out the meaning and use of the multi head lock which had been a complete mystery.I have learnt that by removing the cutting head, that it can be fitted back the other way round and that one way is better than the other, but I am uncertain whether it is better for long stubble or a daily close shave. It is evidently OK to wash the outside of the head under running water but not before using the cleaning centre, presumably to avoid diluting the alcohol in the cleaning solution. No mention is made of washing the inside of the head under running water.No clear advice is given regarding the use of the cleaning centre apart from suggesting that the cartridge is changed every eight weeks. How often should the razor be cleaned?The degree of charge remaining on the razor is clarified in the Japanese instructions but not on the UK page. Why not?No clarification is given on the UK page for the lights on the digital display that refer to cleaning the razor or replacing the foil.In shert the U.K. page is pretty well worthless, and does Braun/P&G a major disservice.Customer Care useless

Great Electric Shaver

Got the shaver on special and thought buying a top of the line one would be a waste of money, however can’t say I’m disappointed in any way.It is truely a wet and dry shaver, started off using it dry and was as comfortable as an electric shaver can get, tried it out with shaving cream and won’t go back to dry shaving unless I have to.Very comfortable shave, and close too. Works as advertised ie up to 7 day growth with little to no trouble, have to go over a couple of spots a couple of times but still a quick shave.Battery lasts ages, had it a few weeks now and still haven’t had to charge it.Easy to clean and maintain.If you can get it on special I’d highly recommend spending that little extra cash on this shaver

Great Service, Great Shaver

Due to an unfortunate accident l damaged my faithful long serving model 7 braun due to a medical condition l am on blood thinners and cannot afford to cut myself whilst shaving. My Doctor recommend braun razors so l brought one and was delighted with the close comfortable shave. So when l had to replace my faithful friend it was a "No Brianer" not to get another braun and due to the Shaver Shops amazing discount l upgraded to a model 9 PRO it is amazing superior quality and performance l am delighted with it. Poor and messy shaving

Unexpectedly very poor and painful shave. Bought this shaver after a long research between foil and rotatory shavers. Finally decided in a foil shaver and on Braun as the best on the market based on reviews. I have to admit that the shaver is sturdy with premium material (first star) but the most basic functionality for which I bought it which is shaving was surprisingly poor. Especially around the neck and below the nose where multiple shaves don’t take the hair off. Also was very irritating to my skin due to the several trials of shaving. It’s very messy as well and doesn’t catch the hair well compared to rotatory shavers. Managed to return it via money back guarantee (this is the reason for the second star).

Poor electronics

I purchased this shaver about 15 months ago after my old Philishave finally gave up. Due to Covid related supply issues, the shop did not have any stock of the current wet and dry Philishave that I wanted. They suggested this Braun as the best alternative, so I bought it. It stopped charging after about six months and wouldn't switch on. I returned it to the store with the cables. They plugged it in and checked it and confirmed that it was dead. There was no issue with the replacement. They simply swapped it for a new one. Well, about six months later, the electronics on the second one started playing up, switching off randomly in the middle of a shave and refusing to switch back on. [Rewarded Review] Beast Razor Ever

I previously purchased a Braun 7, due to not wanting to spend the money. It is ok, flawed by the blade falling off if you had to put pressure to get a close shave. I kept it for a year, until the series 9 pro went on sale at Best Buy. I’m so sorry that I waited. This razor is hands down the greatest razor available on the market. This razor gives you a straight edge shave without the nicks! I have to shave every day, never a burn, unlike the Series 7. A bonus trimmer attached to the back, you can get a total shave in a couple of minutes. The smart cleaning station, gives you a clean blade every time, it knows when you skip a cleaning, and moves to a higher clean. You won’t regret spending the extra money on this razor.

Coming from a Phillips 9000 prestige, this unit is hands down a superior performer. I have sensitive skin and a thick hair profile with some odd growth patterns. This shaver took my 9 day beard off in 10 minutes with no irritation even when dry. It is noisier than the 9000 prestige but is easier to use as it does not require circular patterns or precise pressure control. The cleaning station does a good job and has a fan to dry the blades after cleaning. I was nervous as this is a pricey shaver and there are mixed reviews on foil razors for thick beards, this unit is the exception and powers through it with ease.I have tried many shavers in search of an electric unit with the comfort of a straight razor shave, and this is by far the closest I have found.
