I think approx 60 a year to use this shaving system is a bit expensive not including the blade replacement after 18 months. Don't get me wrong I like the 9s razor, despite 200 + price tag but to be then faced with these cartridges that evaporate if not sealed after each use. These prices are conservative if you do not purchase them from some discount store like this. I would review the whole system as the best closest electric razor on the market but far too overpriced. No problem with the quality of the cartridges. Will buy again

Tried using a cleaning fluid that was promoted as a good replacement for Braun fluid. It was much cheaper however it stained the silver shaver head. This Braun fluid cleans and lubricates much better and the price I paid is well worth it. Will be sticking to Braun fluid from now on.

Cleans my Braun series 9 shaver well, smells with a faint scent of lemon. My shaver feels almost like new. I have a bad conscience because of a lot of plastic and packaging. If you don't use it for a while, might it be a good idea to take care of the cap so that not only the cleaning liquid evaporates?
Expensive, but no alternatives. Its good that this cartridges fit all cleaning stations. However it dries up the foil too much and cause early wear. I was initially replacing foils very often. I was asked to use the shaver spray before use to lubricate the foil and it worked.
These cartridges are normally quite expensive, unless you can get them on special or in bulk packs like this one. The cartridges are well sealed and perform perfectly in the cleaner, giving your shaver a really nice clean and smells nice & fresh (lemon scented). The alcohol solution dissolves any build-up of oils, dead skin and hair particles - leaving your razor head nice & clean & hygienic.*TIPS* Only load your cartridge when actually cleaning your shaver - don't leave it in the cleaning unit, or it will evaporate slowly. If you load only on use, the cartridges will last a long time especially if you only do a full clean once a week which is fine (just tap & rinse on other days). My "Old" Series Five Braun rechargeable razor has been used since new ( a good few years ago !) with this Braun Clean & Renew liquid. Together with the recommended change of Foil & Cutter Head each 9 months, although clearly externally marked through Global use over the years, still performs "Like New" - absolutely Brilliant :)
Not cheap but necessary. Don’t leave cartridge in cleaning station. Remove cartridge after use. Reseal till next clean. Lasts much longer.
I have used the bottled fluid and after about three runs, like 5-months, of washing the cartridge out and refilling, the cartridge gets awful mucky. So thought I'd buy the bargain pack of 5+1, whereupon I can still buy the bottled fluid and reuse the cartridges for maybe less months than I did at first. I mean, let's face it, the cartridges are expensive for what they are and they are a very solid plastic, that I hope is recyclable...!!! KevT
Braun recommends this so it has to be used in their cleaner device. Because it has chemistry that evaporates quickly, it does not last very long in the cleaner, which also has a device to ensure you need to change the cartridge when it tells you. I wish it lasted longer.
