I chose the Braun Series 5 model 5118s shaver because of the Braun reputation and that this particular model had the accessories I need, which is a trimmer, charger and protective cover for the shaver head. I read the instructions and was amused to see that the entire manual consisted of pictures, not words - very entertaining and informative.The shaver had zero charge on the internal battery. The instructions said to plug it in for an hour to achieve a full charge. I did and it did. - 100% charged. ✔️I’ve used it several times and it gave a very comfortable and fairly close shave. I recently bought the Braun series 5 shaver, I have tried several shavers, and this one is by far my favorite. I have sensitive skin and it often gets irritated after I shave, but this one does not cause irritation, and it gives me a nice clean, shave. The razor is comfortable to hold and that it can be used in the shower, with shaving cream or without. There are two shaver heads included in the box. And I can use this many times between charges. I definitely recommend this shaver.

I’ve used Norelco my whole life, first time I tried a Braun and I will never go back to Norelco. With the Norelco I would have to go over the same spot numerous times, first rotating the head in one direction and then the other, wouldn’t get a great shave and had irritation (even with brand new blades). Tried this one for a week and a half now and I’m ready to dump the much more expensive Norelco. Cut my shaving time in half and get a much smoother and less irritated shave. Some spots I still need to go over twice, but much better shave now. The included trimmer does a good job with sideburns. Would definitely recommend over competition.

So most electric shavers I have used in the past fall short in giving me a close shave. I have hair like steel on my face and most of the time the most shavers can do for me is keep it at a 5 o'clock shadow. Braun has repeatedly been on top for me. This came at the perfect time because my last one finally died out on me (5 years) and I still have a mini hand shaver from Braun that is from the early 2000s. It leaves my skin smooth and it hits every contour. No pulling, no nicks, no issues. The straight shaving piece is great for lining up my beard so I'm taken care of all around by one machine. Highly recommended for the self grooming/self care crowd.
This razor worked great! After shaving my neck with this, it felt like a baby’s bottom. So smooth and such a comfortable shave. This also helped limit irritation and ingrown hairs. The battery hasn’t given me any issues yet and seems to last a long time and the razor isn’t too loud. I wish that’s the trimmer attachment had adjustable lengths so I could use this for my beard as well.

I felt refreshed after using. I've got thick stiff bristles, and this handles it fine. I like the heft to the Braun. Feels substantial for a little guy. Other models feel light and cheap. Not this buggah. The rubberized grip worked well with my damp hands. No worries that I would drop it. I'd recommend this to anyone, and I plan on getting my father one after this review. You'll enjoy using it, and it won't break the bank under 80 smackers!
This is an impressive shaver. I’ve been using this daily for the last two weeks. I only have charged it once when I first got it. Still shows nearly full on battery life. It has a comfortable grip, comes with two attachments, small cleaning brush and a charging cord. I have to say this performs exceptionally well, it contours to my face, actually gets deep so you don’t have that five o’clock shadow and leaves a nice smooth shave. If you are in the market for an electric shaver I highly recommend you consider this one.
