Took long time to be delivered due to being on pre-order...about 3 weeks. The build quality is plastic and rubber. The smart care cleaning center is bit flimsy not sturdy and robust with all plastic design and need careful handling when opening and closing the cleaning cartridge compartment. The shaver itself is also made from plastic and rubber body so likely end up sticky and may wear-out super fast due to humid climate of Singapore; hence will need attentive maintaining as key consideration for long term use. The shaving experience is certainly not faster or equal to the traditional manual razor. I use a Gillette 5 blade razor at-least twice a week some time trice and with this electric saver I had to spend bit more time to get the similar level of shave but still not same and not fully close shave. Infact I had to use the Gillette razor in the end for a couple of finer touch up. But one good thing is that it is certainly more softer skin in the end and less burning experience compared to manual razor. So net-net this Braun electric shaver is good option if you are looking moderate price-performance electric shaver. I paid S$216. Recommend buying it around 200, not more. It is bit loud/noisy.

A very nicely designed shaving system.

After 20 years of use, my Norelco triple-header shaver finally ceased working, due to a failure of its power switch. On the basis of a recommendation from the New York Times Wirecutter column, I bought this Braun product. As expected, it has beautiful construction quality, and gives a very close shave. Having never had a shaver with a cleaning system, I was intrigued by the automated activity going on in that device, which was purchased as part of the package. My only criticism is that the enclosed instructions have virtually no text, but only pictographs, which can be somewhat difficult to decipher. Eventually, I was able to figure out the setup and use of both the shaver and its cleaning apparatus. Be warned- if I could give it zero stars I would

While this horrible shaver deserves ZERO stars- Braun's marketing/branding is top notch.This shaver is absolutely terrible. A shave that should take a maximum of 8 minutes, now takes about 30. As a baseline, you will be completely unable to get 50% of your neck hair no matter how many times you go over a particular area. The build quality is a major downgrade from the flagship series 7. The frames that hold the foil cutters are now plastic and the springs/mounts that hold the cassette in place are fragile and flimsy. The 360 degree head is not an upgrade, It actually makes shaving contoured areas, like the chin, more difficult. Expensive replacement heads break within months

I Purchased a Series 9 replacement head through the amazon link on Braun.com on July 10th. The foil shredded at the beginning of October and the head completely fell apart while shaving which cut my face. Amazon will not allow a return or refund. Bruan.com does not allow for the initiation of a money back guarantee on this product even though the site states that "Braun provides a 100-Day Money Back Guarantee on our products." Both Braun and Amazon as well as the packaging recommend replacing the head every 18 months insinuating that the product should last at least that long. I am extremely dissatisfied with this very expensive defective product that I am unable to return. I realize after searching the web that this is not an uncommon issue. First time Braun customer

I am 66 years old and obviously have been shaving for a long time. I have owned just about every brand of electric shaver, both foil and rotary, but this is my first Braun. I chose the 9370 over the top rotary based on it's features and some ratings. After using it on a day and a half stubble, I am not disappointed and very happy with this purchase.It seems rather slow to charge and requires a charging adapter that is not included, which I find very odd for a shaver at this high price. But fortunately I had something to plug the USB cable into an outlet that had the required wattage and amperage.But to get back to the shaving... This was probably the fastest I have ever spent shaving my face. I especially liked the comfort between the nose and upper lip, a usually difficult area to get at. Compared to my most recent foil razor, this unit is much quieter, although not as quiet as the rotary I also have. However, the noise is not unbearable at all.The blades contour very nicely to the face and you have the option of locking the head or letting it flow freely as you shave. I don't think I would ever need to lock the head but it is a nice option to have. The battery indicator let's you know how much of a charge is left, which is a very important feature to me.One other odd issue I have is that the shaver does not come with a head guard. I thought it was possibly missing from my package so I contacted Braun and was told the head guard is no longer included. It was suggested I use the case to protect the head when not using the razor. That is not the answer I wanted to hear, as the case takes too much room in the medicine cabinet where I usually keep the razor. Not including something that might cost them 25 cents to produce just doesn't make sense to me, especially for a razor costing $200-$300!Other than that, I think this razor is as perfect as a razor can be. It is ergonomically comfortable to hold and use, does a great job very quickly and is relatively quiet, all features that are at the top of my list when selecting a new razor.Hopefully Braun will correct the 2 issues and start including the wall charger adapter and the foil cover.To sum up, I highly recommend this razor for anyone on the fence. I believe you will be quite happy with your purchase.

CUSTOMER SERVICE ? Indignity that's how I felt !I was very excited to receive the shaver, I bought it for my scalp but the excitement quickly turned into disappointment ! I tried it on my scalp & very quickly realised that it was going to take far, far too much time & it seemed to lack the sharpness to do the job ! So I cleaned it up & put it back in the box never wanting to use it again ! I bought it online from David Jones because it was advertised as one of the top scalp shavers ! Then wait for it it gets worse, when I phoned David Jones CUSTOMER SERVICE in Doncaster Shopping Town & told the female from 'customer service' that I wasn't happy with the shavers performance & would like to return it, guess what ? she told me very, very confidently & insistently ... MoreCUSTOMER SERVICE ? Great shaving, disappointing durability!!

I bought my first Braun Series 9 in 2018. It had the best shave I had experienced to that time and was very happy. But within 2 years, the attachments for the head on the base unit broke down and started to cut into my face while shaving. I had replaced the head once during the time I owned that particular series and initially thought I just needed to replace the head again but then found that the actual unit was causing the problem. I replaced that unit with a Series9 93xxcc Model 5793 in June of 2020. The on/off switch broke within the year but was easily replaced. I had to replace the head in August of 2021 (earlier than the expected 18 month replacement). I think that only a part of the head has been functioning as expected leading to prolonged shaving times and the extra noise. I have now had to order a new head only 3 months after replacement! This gets a bit pricey. The other slightly irritating issue I have is that the replacement cartridges for the C&C unit rarely last even 3 weeks . . . significantly less than advertised.In summary, a great shave but don't expect to get the same life out of your shaver as advertised. The durability of the products have not been what I expected from Braun. You will need to budget a little extra if you want the shave that the Braun Series 9 can deliver (or look for alternatives).

It's expensive but it's a nice shave

I always wondered if an expensive razor would give a nicer shave than an inexpensive one. This razor gave me the answer. It is a REALLY nice razor and gave me the best shave I have ever had with an electric. Super close and super smooth. You can use it wet or dry. I started off dry as tradition dictates but switched to wet with shaving creme. The shave is so close and smooth. It's very substantial feeling and very sturdy. It came with a cleaning stand/charger. I ran out of cleaning fluid after a month but after smelling the fluid it's obvious it's just water and isopropyl alcohol so you can refill it yourself in a pinch. You can also get it clean by submersing the head in hot water in the sink while it's running then shaking the excess water out. They went from a wide body/handle that was easy to grip and maintain control, to a skinny body similar to the Philips/Norelco shavers.The effectiveness and efficiency of the shaver, and head and foil in particular, is so much worse than any older model I had. You can spend 10 minutes shaving and going back over every spot on your face in every direction, and you'll still find errant hairs or clumps of several hairs that you missed. Try to directly target those, and you'll be lucky if it gets them.When I first got this, I thought it felt great and did a great job. That was until I had more than stubble. Now, I use a guardless Wahl clippers to shave longer facial hair before finishing with the Braun. Mind you, I'm not talking about beard-length hairs. My previous Brauns had no problems with these hairs.This one is too inefficient and takes too much time and effort to "get everything" without having to use a blade for final detailing.If I had bought their lowest model, I could see it maybe not being as effective as the better models. But I chose this one because there are only 1 or 2 models better, and this one had the '360 Flex' design for the head that I wanted.This might be the last Braun I buy if this is the way their design is going. I'm highly disappointed.
