I have had one or two shavers in the past. All less than £100. With those I always ended up sore, cut skin and rashes. This was my first Braun and I am genuinely impressed with the results. It’s sometimes nice when giving myself a wet shave at the weekend to run the Gillette over it for some super smooth skin but this isn’t really needed unless you’re as fussy as me.

I am impressed with the revolutionary design, particularly the sonic gliding technology and the Prolift trimmer. The precision switch lock is another positive feature which gives flexibility to the pivoting shaver head and locks it in desired angle for better control. I have tried a Series 7 razor previously and didn't really get on well with it. I am a person who does not shave daily - maybe every 3-5 days so have longer hair when I do shave. The series 7 could not cope but my hopes were high with the series 9 Pro. The advertisement shows someone shaving a longer beard down to nothing in a single swipe and I was sceptical but thought I would try it out. In reality, this razor can't do that with the 5-7 day long hair, but is not so bad at 3-4 days. It still struggles to get everything though so you end up having to go back and forth to get a good finish. This is one fantastic piece of kit, very nice to hold and to work around the hair on my face, neck, chin areas.The quick-charge function is incredible; very useful if in a rush (like me always), the carry case and charger are a great addition, especially for going away for the weekend or to a friends.The device is built very sturdy, it feels as though this one will last a while, the instructions weren't the greatest, but apart from that this is my new "go to" razor for sure, from a reputable brand also. If you are looking for a well built, reliable new razor this is brilliant. The blades are sharp and incredibly strong which helps a lot for a cleaner, more comfortable trim/shave.
