Braun Series 9 Pro+ Wet & Dry Electric Shaver With Travel Case

This is a nice electric razor. It has multiple types of cutters in the one cartridge which allows it to handle hairs that are long as well as short. The result is an easy shave, even with a week’s growth. The shave is “Close Enough”. It’s not as close as some rotary shavers I have used, nor a traditional razor blaze wet shave. However, the lack of irritation and speed of shaving means I can shave every day. Having a “close enough” shave every day of the week is better than have a really close shave one day, and then not shaving for the next three because of irritation. As Close As A Razor, Only Faster

I've only had this a few days, but I've used Braun shavers for at least 25 years. This one replaces a Series 9 I wore out. To be clear, this shaver is significantly better than the Series 9. It's difficult to tell what Braun did to make such a marked improvement. Some say it's the foil, well it's not just that, because I had a Series 9 pro foil on my Series 9 AND it was only 3 weeks old, so I am using it on my Series 9 pro+. The shave is significantly closer and faster.In particular, it gets long hair better, it shaves my neck better. I've been using a razor to clean up my neck hairs, with the pro+ I have not needed it.The sound is the same, the overall configuration is familiar and comfortable. Good Razor terrible Manual

This is the best razor I have used. It has features that I didn’t know about and of which there is no mention in the UK manual which is uninformative and useless. In fact it is a disgrace. I have since found a little more in the way of pictorial information in the ?Japanese instructions. I didn’t know initially , and the manual makes no mention of the fact that the razor has a rotating head, and I have thus figured out the meaning and use of the multi head lock which had been a complete mystery. I have learnt that by removing the cutting head, that it can be fitted back the other way round and that one way is better than the other, but I am uncertain whether it is better for long stubble or a daily close shave. K. manual that the brush is not recommended for brushing the outside of the foil , but can be used for brushing out the inside of the head. It is evidently OK to wash the outside of the head under running water but not before using the cleaning centre, presumably to avoid diluting the alcohol in the cleaning solution. No mention is made of washing the inside of the head under running water. No clear advice is given regarding the use of the cleaning centre apart from suggesting that the cartridge is changed every eight weeks. How often should the razor be cleaned? The degree of charge remaining on the razor is clarified in the Japanese instructions but not on the UK page. Why not? No clarification is given on the UK page for the lights on the digital display that refer to cleaning the razor or replacing the foil. In shert the U. K. page is pretty well worthless, and does Braun/P&G a major disservice. Customer Care useless

Great for an Electric Razor

It was hard to decide whether I should rate this a 4 or 5, but ultimately I decided a 4 because I still prefer a relatively inexpensive manual razor to the electrical experience. This is primarily due to two factors: (i) I can’t achieve as close a cut using the electric razor; and (ii) I experience tugging especially when using the razor on dry hair. I’d still have given a 5 if I was able to achieve results in 1-2 passes, but I find you have to make several passes to get an even consistent close cut.Those details aside, this does appear to be a solid electric option especially when using the wet mode (which was not available in my last comparable quality electric). The device feels sturdy, as does the charging case. The issue is not my skin as I have used similar shaver’s before, the issue is an inconsistent shave.Despite the 60 day money back guarantee and the invoice stating that I can get a return or refund if the product "doesn't do what we said it would", I now have a very expensive paperweight because there is no way that I can get the quality shave that is required at my workplace with this shaver.

This shaver took my 9 day beard off in 10 minutes with no irritation even when dry. It is noisier than the 9000 prestige but is easier to use as it does not require circular patterns or precise pressure control. The cleaning station does a good job and has a fan to dry the blades after cleaning.
