This is an important omission as the readings are only correct if the product is kept clean and so keeping it free from dust etc is important to the overall efficiency of the monitor.The oximeter has sound options, like whether you want an alarm to sound if the oxygen readings are low. The compact device is honestly fantastic! So small and very easy to setup with the batteries and hand strap. Basically you slip a finger end in the little gadget and press the little yellow bottom. Instantly gives you digital readings, with your heart beat scrolling at the bottom of the screen, number per beats per minute and the amount of oxygen in your bloodstream. The monitoring will constantly continue onscreen until you remove your fingertip. I’m impressed, it shows clear detailed readings instantly, lovely to handle, a well known and trusted brand that’s super easy to use. First of all I was surprised by the handiness of the device,I have tried to use only one hand to operate it since I was thinking that it so light and easy to operate, and I was right!The operation is made easier since you can rotate the LED screen.As for the feeling, the pressure on your finger is not too much but feel right, you get an answer in litterally seconds.As for accuracy Is consistent between the reading ( if you change hands ) and Since id from Braun it seems much better and sturdier than other cheap one I have trid in the past.Overall I was really satisfied and I will keep using it.Five star for me!!

Then tried on another person, didn't work!. has a read of the instructions and realised the unit was above its operating temperature. ( thats global heating for you). once cooled down it started working again.Tried on all fingers and gave about the same result. Then I started testing it by panting. It shows an increase in blood O2 and elevation of pulse rate, which suggests the unit is sensitive to small changes.Looked at the menu system but the writing is so small makes it hard to change. you need the book in front of you which also shows the menu, then you can change the default alarm ... MoreComes in a nice secure box.
