This machine saved my sanity, as someone who refuses instant coffee of any brand and I have tried a lot of different machines and methods but to no avail. Pods were okay, but the environmental aspect was very off putting. Decided to to do some thorough research both here and international reviews, all of which were very enthusiastic. Purchased one, and what a great revelation, so good both of my children have purchased one. My daughter and her partner did not drink coffee, we tempted them with a brew, next thing they were buying one for themselves. They have three young children and therefore as many would know many sleepless nights, they say that the Barista Express has helped them transcend the lack of sleep and make the day bearable.

We have owned a Breville Barista Express for 6 years, and it is still going strong.Used multiple times a day for everything from Lattes to Short Blacks to Baby Cinos, it never skips a beat.I’ve worked as a barista and this machine really does rival the product made by a commercial machine (provided you’re using quality beans and milk). We recommend this product to every one we know who’s in the market for a new home coffee machine. There are now four members of our immediate family with one of these at the heart of their kitchen. We love it and wouldn’t hesitate to buy the same machine again when this one decides to quit.

I was fortunate to receive as a gift from a generous offspring, and now it is easily one of my favourite things during this lockdown. The machine performs brilliantly and makes the best coffee in town. I mostly drink espresso, so I really appreciate the highly adjustable grind settings. The pressure gauge for the extraction is excellent. All in all, grind and extraction can be tuned against the bean type. Plus, it is extremely convenient. The cap on the bean holder is pretty tight, so keeps the beans moderately fresh for a few days. Load up enough beans for a number of days, then make an A grade coffee in a matter of seconds between virtual conferences.
We bought this Barista Express via the Qantas Frequent Flyer store, the best thing we have done for our FF points. Preparation, set-up and actual making a beautiful cup of coffee was not difficult at all. It took me three tries to get the right amount of coffee grind but now we are in the morning enjoying a beautiful, tasty cup of coffee - cappuccino. The machine is easy to clean although it doesn’t get very dirty, topping up the water reservoir is very easy, the steamer is very handy and easy to clean. The drip tray we have emptied twice in one month of use all easy tasks. The machine itself feels very sturdy and of a high quality. Do we recommend this machine - YES.
Moving from a pod machine, I was apprehensive about the quality of my morning coffee. I’ve accepted the limitations of the pod and the convenience had grown on me.But this machine has invigorated my love of coffee. The ease of grinding the beans, tamping and extracting is seamless and frothing the milk with the temp gauge is foolproof. The included funnel contains any ground mess and quick start up means I have my coffee ready before morning meetings.Take the plunge-it’s worth it.
We have two coffee machines - one is a temperamental European jobbie, and the other is this little darling. They both make excellent coffee, but the Barista Express does it without the early morning tantrum! It took only a couple of turns at it before I was turning out morning coffee like a pro and I haven't looked back. It is so good I bought one for our guesthouse and the comments are all positive. It's easy to use and clean, and hard to break - a perfect combination for any accommodation venue. My husband still uses the 4x more expensive Euro machine, but he is a coffee nerd and seems to enjoy the artistry required to make that coffee......I like things a lot simpler and this machine delivers that!
This machine is packed with ‘state-of-the art technologies’. The human interface makes it so easy to use. Value for money. Menu-driven automation. Easily maintained and incredibly reliable. A walk into futuristic technological advancement. Makes us a profoundly interested user who can’t do without their Breville morning coffee, Beville slow cooker and Breville microwave oven.
Since high school when the communal toastie machine was known solely as 'Breville', this has always been my go to appliance brand so, 20 years on from year 12, it was really the only option for my wife and I's 10th anniversary gift to ourselves - a proper coffee machine. The morning coffee/baby chino is a morning family ritual in our house and this has taken it to another level.Great design, easy to use and good to look at, it's quickly become a favourite feature of the family kitchen.
I didn't have the promotion of the milk jug thermal but when I did register my machine, it appeared there.Regarding the machine: It is hard to get the expresso pressure to 12 o'clock position. No mater how I changed the level of grinded coffee, it is only about 10 o'clock pressure. For the milk, googled a lot but still hard to get the smooth texture. Every one said you would not expect to be same as commercial machine.
