I purchased this blender to replace a 35yo Bamix, which served me extremely well, so I was hoping it would be a comparative match. It feels really nice in the hands, the soft and smooth switch is great when operating it for lengthy periods. I also appreciate how the protected blades can't damage my Bessemer pots. Whilst it does a very good job of blending, I was a little overwhelmed with the sheer bulk of this unit, so it can take some getting used to holding up such a tall unit. Having said that, it is absolutely perfect when using my 25l stock pot. I was very happy with how relatively quiet the motor is, even on high speeds, but would have really appreciated a lock function that enables you to blend continuously without keeping your finger down on the switch! I hope Breville introduce this with the next model, as well as making the eject system a little easier to use. It does require a little more pressure than expected, so might be a dealbreaker for people with any chronic afflictions in their hands. The 750ml processor is a great size when you don't need to bring out your Kitchen Whizz 15 Pro, and the 1.25l multi-purpose jug can easily handle good quantities of product. Having the smaller unit sit inside each other is another bonus for keeping storage to a minimum.

Hello. I received this review request from you regarding the Control Grip Immersion Blender I recently purchased from you, Instead I would like to review a different Breville product I previously bought which ended up being a letdown. it's the Breville Crystal Clear Kettle BKE595XL. it was working fine, but one day I realized my coffee tasted strange so I let some of the remaining boiled water in the Kettle cool and I tasted it on its own and it tasted bad- like plastic/chemicals. Needless to say I no longer use it. I cannot trust it thinking it may be leeching chemicals from the plastic into the water in spite of stating it is BPA-free. This was my main concern when shopping for an electric Kettle, that the water remained pure. I assumed yours with the BPA-free ... MoreHello. This was my main concern when shopping for an electric Kettle, that the water remained pure. I assumed yours with the BPA-free statement would be high-enough quality to keep the water safe. Now it just sits in my cupboard. I suppose I should throw it away but I feel bad since it wasn't cheap. I also have a Breville juicer which seems to work fine. I have not had the immersion blender long enough to be able to review it properly but I am being forced to choose a star rating in order to submit this review of the Kettle. Have other people complained about the kettle leeching chemicals into the water? I very much hope to get a response. Thank you, John R

The control grip has been a great purchase because of its versatility. I bought it while shopping for a new immersion blender and have used every part of this kit as much as or more than the simple immersion blender to make pesto, hummus, gazpacho and more. The immersion blender itself works great with its multiple speeds. Though I did burn it out - making spot prawn and crab bisque when a piece of tenacious crab shell refused to break - Breville replaced it for a very fair price even though it was year old and out of warranty. Excellent purchase, tool and service; I would definitely recommend this product to others.
Tend to be impressed with Breville products so bought this blender despite being more expensive then some other well regarded options. For blending we've been real please with it, the anti suction bottom works better than our previous blender and for pureeing soups or sauces in a pot or bowl the blender has worked great and seems solid. The separate chopping bowl attachment however leaves much to be desired and seems to be a bit lower in quality than I'd have expected. Our chopping bowl (despite very light usage) cracked on the bottom, really unclear how it happened and unfortunately was not under warranty. Hopefully Breville can improve that chopping bowl and then they will have a really stellar product.
I purchased this set several months ago to replace an aging blender and immersion blender. I am very pleased with the immersion blender and the whisk, a great range or power settings and comfortable to use. The larger mixing container is a good size and handy for small batters and whipping cream or eggs. The small blending/ chopping container and blades are useless. I have tried small batchguacamole, pesto, herbs all with poor results. Not up to your standards, no stars.I would only recommend part of this product.
I use the immersion blender and whisk all the time and love both attachments. I have only used the chopping bowl a few times, but it's been great for making salsa. However, I noticed this weekend when I took it out that it had 2 large cracks running from the center to the edges, and liquid leaked out while mixing. While looking online for a replacement part, I noticed in the reviews that this seems like a common occurrence, so now I'm reluctant to purchase a replacement bowl to have it potentially just happen again. Please upgrade the quality of the chopping bowl, and then you'd have a stellar appliance.
Feels solid when using the main blade, but always feel like it is backwards, like the button is on the wrong side.Attaching the shaft to the motor is a bit awkward because the driveshaft is not held in the center, so I'm worried it will break.Whisk gearbox is very noisy so I don't want to use it.No point to having so many "speeds". Hardly any difference from 1 to 9, then very fast/noisy from 10-15. Should just be Low, Medium and High.Bell (with the blade) is too wide so doesn't fit in some containers I typically use. I think this is because they wanted to reduce suction, but it also means it doesn't blend quite as well since it doesn't pull ingredients/liquid in as much.Food chopper is sad: when trying to chop one onion, it basically pureed what it could ... MoreFeels solid when using the main blade, but always feel like it is backwards, like the button is on the wrong side.Attaching the shaft to the motor is a bit awkward because the driveshaft is not held in the center, so I'm worried it will break.Whisk gearbox is very noisy so I don't want to use it.No point to having so many "speeds". It also feels very flimsy.Overall, rather disappointed I bought it.
I purchased my product just under two years ago and have only used it a handful of times or less. For the several times I used it, it worked very well. Most recently I was making a pesto cream sauce, and in the middle of the process the motor overheated and just stopped out of nowhere. I was a bit surprised as I was just chopping basil, olive oil and garlic so it wasn’t as if the motor was being overworked. Loved the product but super disappointed in the durability.
