Not a kitchen essential. But good if you have a little squeeze in space. Quite easy and clean to operate. No need to be keeping track of the egg being boiled. The options really work the poached eggs come out really cute.

If you are familiar with the Breville smart range of appliances as I am you will know why I purchased this egg cooker. It is fool proof. Just fill with water to the internal line ( low for poached and high for boiled), press the select button on the front until your desired level of cooked egg is lit. Press start and wait for it to cook. It automatically turns off when cooked and alerts you with an alarm buzzer. Perfectly cooked eggs every time. Poached, soft, medium and hard boiled. Get one. You will not regret it.

We bought this egg cooker after some research and we don’t regret our decision. It is easy to use and makes perfect soft boiled eggs. The only thing I would mention is that there could be some sort of little handle on the lid. When you try and pick up the lid you have to be very careful not to get the hot water from the steam on your hands.

I am very happy with my new eggspert egg cooker from Breville, it now makes cooking eggs easy compared to previous egg cookers, no need to be keeping track of the egg being boiled. The options really work the poached eggs come out perfect!Best egg cooker I've ever come across, highly recommend getting one.
We've found this really helpful for getting breakfast ready in the morning. My kids can set it up and press start, they just need an adult to open it up and get the hot eggs out. The poaching insert seems to stick a bit, even when we use some oil, but it doesn't make much difference to us and we're mostly using it for boiled eggs. It's also really small so doesn't take up much room and, as always with Breville, is well designed for what it does. It's a very specific product, which isn't always something I'm keen for, but this is perfect for what we need.
The machine is compact. It cooks hard boiled eggs well, but I need to give poached eggs 2 cycles to cook properly. One cycle leaves the poached eggs very runny, even the white part of the egg, which I wouldnt want to eat. Otherwise Im pleased with it.
This compact machine works really well and cooks to eggs consistently each time. I recommend pricking the wide end of the eggs because it does seem to make them easier to peel. My last machine created so much steam that I had to position it close to my range hood to stop condensation on my backsplash. This one doesn’t do that and also has a less jarring alarm. Unlike my previous egg cooker, I don’t think twice about getting it out to use and it takes up less room for storage also. I just love it!
Cooked well. Our home grown eggs are larger but they still fitted in the holder and cooked well. Wish I'd had one years ago. Much easier than forgetting and having pots boil dry!
I haven't tried soft or medium boiled eggs yet as I like to keep hard boiled eggs in the fridge for snacks. I have made three batches of hard boiled eggs so far, and they have turned out perfectly. The first batch took me a while as I was reading the instructions, but the second two were so easy. Just put the eggs in, fill with water up to the line, lid on, and press go. It beeps when the eggs are cooked, carefully remove the lid (steam) and put the eggs under cold water. They don't even have those grey rings around the yolks! Perfection. I am so happy with this product. Also, delivery was super fast.
This is the best little electrical item I have ever bought. It makes perfect poached eggs every time. And it also gives you a choice how hard you want your boiled eggs. I also bought one for my daughter and she said the ease of cooking eggs was excellent and the directions were easy to follow. Easy to clean.
