I purchased this item from Jb hifi as I was looking for good beater.. the salesperson sold me on the this item for it’s feature…however I found that it doesn’t mix as well with the scrape/beater attachment and doesn’t reach the sides, which means I have to scrape it manually! I am disappointed as I had been looking for a stand up beater for a while and could not afford the higher end brands… however I will continue to use it as it is generally a good mixer. Would recommend for beginners

I purchased this mixer during lockdown after Choice Mag rated it highly. However I am surprised and disappointed with the quality of the product. The lever to raise the beater is clunky and catches. The dough hook works fine, but the beater didn’t scrape the bowl well so I had to stop, scrape and start to get an even mix,It wasn’t an expensive item, but considering the Choice rating I did expect more from this product.

I have previously owned a Breville BEM410 Model for approximately 7 years this model was fantastic until the beater broke. Tried getting a replacement part but so far no luck. Thought I would buy this model LEM250SIL and I am very disappointed. The product is noisy and the beaters rattle on the bowl. The mixer rocks constantly, lucky it had suction cups on the bottom to hold it on the bench. I am contemplating taking this back and getting a refund.
Was gifted this from my mama due to love baking and wanted to cut my time in half. Only used it a a couple of times since received and the tilt switch casing broke in the middle of creaming butter & sugar. I loved the machine due to it’s simplicity and easy to use but I hope in the future Breville modifies their tilt switch e.g. a push button would just do. I just checked the warranty and I dont think it covers this type of damage aswell so it’s a bummer.
I bought the mixer about 1 year ago, maybe more or less and I would use it about 1-3 times a week, about 15 mins each time. Worked great and I loved it until the other day. I was using it to knead dough and I looked away for one second then it stopped and started smoking. I guess I overworked the engine. Very sad that it is gone now, haven't even had it for that long...
Did not view this in the flesh at Target, so no-one to blame except myself. It is cheaper looking than I expected, and the whisk is really hard to clean if you don't soak it immediately (none of the attachments can go in dishwasher). It is adequate. You get what you pay for I guess. No major issues after 4 weeks and about 6 uses. Have not used dough hook as yet.
bought this some 12 mths ago and the scraper mixer broke and have been trying to get one since august last year and Breville are not interested in getting one for me have rung over 5 times and waited for over an hour at times to get thru yet they keep saying next month, next month. What a joke and it is illegal to not supply parts for a current model. Don't but from this unreliable supplier. My wife has not been able to make any cakes for over 5 months and had to borrow beg other to get a mixer Sourced one from America so hopefully she can use again. Unreliable company with products you cant get parts for what a joke!!!!
Very happy with this mixer so far for mixing cakes and whipping cream. Looking forward to doing more but it seems to be very well designed. Love the scraper beater and the lid to the bowl with the spout is just amazing.
I have had the Breville Scraper Beater for a couple of weeks and have made several cakes. its absolutely brilliant. The scraper blade really does hit the edges and bottom of the bowl and mixes everything really well. making cake batter and whipping cream is a breeze. Im so very happy with this appliance. love love love it.
