Bought this for our granddaughter's 2nd birthday and she was delighted by it. She very quickly learned how to stop and start the train with the button on the top. Other parts will take a bit longer to master. Altogether a really great toy, which will be played with for a long time to come. Very good quality and has the potential to be expanded with additional purchases.

We bought brio for our son over 25 years ago. Now buying brio for a very lovely friends son. Always a good gift for little children. We still have our brio from decades ago. I hope the same happens here.

Compared to other sets I've bought, this one has strength and structure to it. So even with little fingers and clumsy toes in the way, it isn't knocked over or broken easily. A real win with my two year old. The battery operated train is also a novelty, he loves watching it go around and around. Really happy with it. Would have rated 5, but the batteries run out quickly in the train!
