BRIO Smart Tech Sound Action Tunnel Deluxe Set

Birthday present for my 3 year old son. He absolutely loves it. Especially the different noises and the self driving train. Great quality

Fun train set

I had been waiting for this set to release and bought it when it came out, even though I had already got my son a starter Brio set for Christmas. I thought the sound recording feature was a little pointless, until I recorded my sons name. Every time the train goes through the tunnel and shouts his name he giggles and is amazed the train does it “by its own”. Its a big set so it will take up a large space, and make sure you update the train with the Smart Tech Sound app right away or the wash and repair station won’t function properly (that took me a while to figure out) He has already had hours of fun with this, and I’m looking forward to adding more sets as he gets older.

High quality train set

Bought this for my daughter’s 2nd birthday. It’s such a well made set and all the pieces fit together perfectly. The motorized train was a hit and my daughter loved hearing my recording of her name every time it passed under the orange arch. There’s enough pieces and different cars included that I can see her playing with this for a long time!

The Train lost function within one day.

After using the recording and play function on the train. The train no longer reactive to action tunnels. Looked up tips online. Said take out battery and put back. Did , but only couple times play. Same thing happened

Unappreciated shopper

I didn’t like the functionality of this set up. I tried to return it and was treated poorly and was not able to return the item.My hard earned money will be spend elsewhere.

Very cool train set but be prepared to troubleshoot.

We bought this for our son for Christmas. We have finally got it working after exchanging it once after a massive amount of troubleshooting. I contacted Brio who gave me the following advice:Does the SMART TECH engine make sounds and lights work when turning on or pressing the button on the top of the engine ? Try to turn off the engine for10 seconds to reboot and then turn on and retry the Smart functions.Check that there is no interference (something blocking the signal) with the SMART TECH engine or SMART function and that the Engine is on its tracks.Then try to turn off the engine for 10 seconds to reboot and then turn on and retry the Smart functions.Rechargeable batteries or used batteries? For us, it turns out we were using the wrong type of batteries (carbon zinc and rechargeable instead of alkaline), and additionally I was testing the train on a metal dining table (which apparently interferes with the RFID signal).Now that it is working, it's awesome!! But just thought this info might help someone else who has difficulty with the train interacting with the track.
