Briogeo Curl Charisma Rice Amino + Quinoa Frizz Control Gel

This is the ONLY product I use in my hair. My hair is naturally wavy and frizzy. High density but fine strands. I’m pretty lazy when it comes to styling my hair. I air dry almost 100% of the time and this cream is a game changer. I know this is called a curl enhancer, and it is. It does a lovely job of sculpting waves/curls without the heavy weigh down, but I also use it to sculpt my hair straight and frizzless. If you put this in and scrunch, BOOM curls. But if you apply this and comb your hair straight it leaves it sitting beautifully the way it dries. It’s magic and makes your hair manageable. Not to mention is smells amazing. Both photos posted only have the use of this leave in. No heat tools. Just put it in and air dry either scrunched or combed straight.

Every curly haired human needs a good quality, curl-defining product that doesn't strip your hair of its natural hydration / oils. FINALLY a product that works for my fine, wavy-curly hair

I have been looking for something I can use on my hair that doesn't weigh down my super fine, high porosity curls and leave my hair stringy. This product is literally a godsend, and is the only product I need to use on my hair for it to look amazing! I only need about a dime-nickel size amount for my long hair, scrunch, and let it air dry for about 15min before diffusing. Still looks great without diffusing, but the diffuser definitely adds volume. This gel is not crunchy at all, it literally looks and feels like you have no product in your hair and your hair is just naturally frizz free, voluminous, defined curls and waves! This has become my go-to gel for curly hair and I could not recommend it enough! Paired with a curl creme, this product gives my 3a/3b curls incredible definition for several days, preventing frizz, even as the curls soften. A little goes a long way; this is one of those products you have to play around with a bit to figure out what the right amount for your hair is, but once you get there, it will not disappoint. I avoided gels for a long time either on account of the smell or how clumped and sticky they would leave my hair, requiring frequent re-wash. Holy grail hair gel!

This hair gel works amazing for my 3a/3b curls. The gel holds the whole time between washes. I wash between 1-2 times a week. This gel doesn't make my hair crunchy unless I add too much. You definitely need to figure out the right amount for your hair. A little goes a long way. I like to rake it into my hair with my fingers and use a wide tooth comb to evenly distribute. Then scrunch it through all over. I keep enough water in my hair to the point you can hear it when you scrunch. Then diffuse my hair bent over, (for volume at the root) alternating sides on low with high heat. This gel is the bomb

Made curls better after a walk in the rain

My experience with this gel today compels me to write a review. I recently tried the Curl Charisma leave-in, and there was a lot I liked about it, but it didn't provide quite enough hold. I then ordered the gel and tried the two together. One caveat: I do see how the line can feel a touch drying/crunchy, but I'm not sure about it yet (I may have used too much product). Today, I started with a light layer of Aveda Botanical Repair. But here's where the magic happened: I live in Seattle and today was a rainy day. It rains in Seattle, but often it's a very frizzifying mist rather than a heavy rain. Today was that kind of day, but a little wetter than usual. Natural looking, touchable curls

I received this complimentary from Briogeo Hair Care for my honest review. I have fine curly hair, so anything with shea butter, super creamy formulas, etc. just weigh my hair down and make it gross. I LOVE this gel - it's not too thick or sticky, but actually feels moisturizing so I can use it alone if I've already done a deep conditioner in the shower, and it totally smooths frizz & helps my curls keep a soft hold. It works even better over the Curl Charisma Leave-In. I love the smell, too. It does not have super lasting hold, but it refreshes well the next day with just water without getting sticky or gross! I'm so happy to have tried this. My hair loves it. Solid product

I have fine, thin 2c waves, my hair loves this gel. It gives me enough hold, I like the smell, and easily scrunches out leaving bouncy curls. You only need a tiny amount, I use a nickel size amount for mid back length hair. Too much and hair gets too crunchy. I use a little Cake mousse first, scrunch, then this gel, scrunch and diffuse. Great product, and I never got any flakes when layering gel with other products.

cute smell but it flakes like a gentle snow

I have type 3c/4a, pow porosity hair, and although I liked the slip and smell, this gel ended up flaking on day 2 of my wash and go. It might work with another leave in, but doesn't with the creme from the same curl charisma line.I paired this with the leave in creme from the same line - I was worried about it's hold while applying, but once I diffused and dried the remainder of my hair overnight, there was a nice cast when I woke up. Usually when there is a cast, I know the wash and w/ this gel, my curl integrity is still in tact on day 3 as i type this). protein loving curls bff!

this is a great curl gel if you know your hair's needs and likes. I have 2c/3a hair that wants all the protein all the time. This is my go to gel for moderate hold, definition, and softness. I was a diehard Deva Ultra Defining user until the reformulation removed all the proteins in that, but this is the closest I've gotten to that same hold and curl enhancement. my hair is so bouncy, clumps are perfect, and they stay in shape for at least 2 or 3 days with minimal refreshing needed. My included pics are day 4 hair (so kinda frizzy and displaced but still impressive for short curls)This isn't going to be a gel for protein sensitive curlies though and because it's on the heavier side of protein ingredients, could cause protein overload for those people.
