Absolutely superb device - holds a fantastic amount of water and actually does what it says on the tin - that it makes water so clean tasting and soft. Just exactly like bottled water. A little tip though - I've used many different Brita products over the years and this is my favourite due to it's capacity potential. But I've always found it helps to run the cold water tap for at least 2 or 3 minutes - as it's always best to draw the freshest cleanest water that you possibly can - and in my opinion it makes these devices even more effective. This was bought to keep in my fridge as we do not have a cold water dispenser. The 8 litre tank is really handy for our family of four to ensure we have clean, fresh and cold water on tap. The tap mechanism is fool proof - even my 6 year old can use this with ease and it feels robust too. A sliding mechanism makes it easy to refill too! My old water jug was well used looking to replace I found this larger 8litre one. I was forever filling the 1.5litre jug up. This is great I wished I'd seen them before. The filtered water tastes great; the tank and filter are both easy to setup; it doesn't take too much room on our counter (we prefer room-temperature water); it looks good in our kitchen; and it feels to have been made with good quality materials. My only criticism has to be the difficulty of sliding open the flap that covers hole into which you fill the tank with water. It's quite a tight clip and takes a bit of effort to dislodge. Otherwise, I am super happy and would definitely recommend it to friends and family.
