As a hair stylist I don't usually recommend at home color, but this product I actually like. It is easy to mix and the instructions are clear. It comes with a conditioning hair mask for after bleaching. It is perfect for using before the semi-permanent colors for bright results. Obviously you will need to follow directions and the same rules still apply: It will NOT achieve light blonde on previously colored hair or very dark hair. You will have to reapply to get those results. Also if you have a lot of hair you will want to get 2 or 3 boxes to be sure you don't run out in the middle of applying. Bleaching your whole head at home is RISKY so if you are wanting a full blonde color, see a stylist! I really wanted something that was safer than other toxic alternatives because my skin and scalp, well basically everything is sensitive and i also take allergy meds daily. This was perfect for me i didn’t notice any reactions or sensitivities. I was extra cautious and even did this outside for better ventilation and used gloves and a smock and old clothes i didn’t mind throwing away or using as old work clothes just in case. I lined my hairline with Vaseline all the way around. I followed the directions to a T by reading it several times and watching videos as well. If you have never done something like this before it’s best to be over prepared than underprepared because U can end up in bad shape. All the products are creams, no powders so there's no dust to breathe in and no mess to clean up. The bleach mixture doesn't have a very strong odor which is great for everyone involved. It didn't burn or itch a whole lot. It was on for 30 minutes, got to a nice pale yellow but could've gone longer since the bleach wasn't even close to being dry or inactive yet. The one box was sufficient because my intention was only to do highlights and it turned out perfectly. The green dye that they also offer did a really great job and it’s very pigmented. My hair did not feel dry nor crunchy and I’m very happy that I didn’t have to breathe in bleach dust as this bleaching kit is dust-free. Used this on my daughter who has hair just below her shoulders that’s pretty thick. It was hard to apply using the provided gloves and I kept wishing I’d picked up one of the $12 Madison reed kits that comes with the mix bowl, clips and an application brush. We ran out of the concoction as I was done applying a very sparse layer to the back of her hair so the entire back is still brown. The front (where I was able to apply enough to Saturate the hair) was platinum. Would I buy 3 or 4 packs of this to get the job done? Maybe. There’s an Aveda school and training salon near me that probably costs about the same so I might do that instead. If that wasn’t the case then yes…as long as I also have picked up the application brush
I was excited because the reviews were all mostly good . I have peekaboo highlights in the front of my face that were dyed orange and are now a very faded orange almost a peachy color so I assumed that this bleach kit would get it pretty light if not a white but It did absolutely nothing at all !!!! My hair is literally the same color as if I did nothing to it ! Such a waste of money especially because there is barley any product in the tubes . I do not recommend! Also my box did not come with the conditioner everyone in the reviews are talking about .
I love this bleach! It is the whole package. Cruelty free, vegan, effective and gentle. I have a very sensitive scalp that burns easily. I shave the sides and back of my head every three weeks then bleach those areas and my scalp is just fine and my hair is a super light platinum-ish blonde. I use the Brite silver tube hair color mixed with some purple conditioner for about 45 minutes after my hair dries and get the perfect silvery ashy platinum color. My hair is naturally a dark, ugly dishwater blonde that is not flattering on me at all but this fixes that!

I had hoped the previous dark color would eventually wash out but every time I dyed the lighter roots to blend the remainder just kept getting darker. I decided to lighten and go from a 5 back to a 6 or 7. I wash in iron-rich water and have developed a reddish tint (hence dyed it darker). I like my dark ash blond! I mixed the two tubes of lightener and developer. There was no awful odor! It was super easy to brush on my test strand. Since I was starting from a dark color, I wasn't expecting platinum blond, especially with iron rich or "orange" water. The test came out much lighter out a little brassy. The hair mask/conditioner that was also supplied added some great moisture and softness back. I feel comfortable using a dark ash blond dye now to hopefully achieve color I want.
