Exactly what I was looking for. It's basically a panama style hat but with an extra wide brim. I have come to appreciate the extra sun coverage for my face now I'm in my thirties and the panama style looks sharper than the usual wide brim ladies hats that seem more suited to afternoon tea parties. I love that it comes in different head sizes as well since my head must be either awkwardly shaped or strangely large despite being short and petite. I bought this in size medium and it fits perfectly with a bit of extra room. It's also very comfortable with sunglasses. The only thing that could improve this hat would be if it was SPF rated but aside from that I'm very happy!

I was so excited when a petite blogger with small head woes linked this beautiful hat which adjusts to fit smaller heads. It seemed like the perfect sun hat because of the wide brim. Unfortunately, it did not look like it did on the adorable blogger. It took on more of a Farmer Jones on me (no offense to Farmer Jones). That just wasn’t the look I was going for. I can highly recommend this because it is a beautiful, well made, adjustable hat that looks lovely on some one else. Thank you, Nordstrom for offering hats for small heads. As always, 5 stars for the Nordstrom shopping experience.

Since I'm heading to Maui in a couple of weeks I wanted to bring some sun protection. Last fall I bought a Brixton hat that was really nice and fit my head, which is on the large side and doesn't usually look good in hats, so I thought this one might be good. Once again this hat is a winner. The brim is just right, plenty of shade but not big and floppy. I ordered the medium, and it's a tad bit large, which was surprising. But I like the way it sits lower on my head, or can be worn back exposing more face and is cute that way too. I also appreciate that they offer sizes, because when it comes to noggins, one size does not fit all!

I initially looked at some pricier sun hats and this was under the Nordstrom recommends tab. So happy I took a look and decided to purchase. First you can't go wrong with this price point and the quality surpassed my expectations. The brim is not floppy (which I don't like so much) and wide enough to protect my face from the sun. As a personal preference I like the straw color which is a perfect golden, not too taupe and not too beige.The black ribbon trim is the perfect addition. Perfect summer/beach hat, very pretty in person. However, the sizing is HUGE. Let me be clear, I have a big head. Its perfectly round and I have a LOT of hair so its always hard for me to find a hat that fits. ALL of my hats are size large, I read the reviews, measured my head, and referred to the provided chart to be sure I ordered the right size. The chart indicated I needed a size Large (not surprised). This hat came and it is HUGE. Definitely size down, take it from this big head.
So I ordered an XS. This is my first time really wearing a hat like this so I wasn’t really sure what size to get. As I am packing for my vacation, I just realized that the hat is a Medium! It’s actually not that big on my head but if a strong wind blows it will probably fly off. I am so mad I didn’t realize this sooner. Not sure how they mixed up a XS and a Medium but based on how the Medium fits, I probably should have ordered a Small. Either way, the hat is too cute.
I ordered this hat for an upcoming vacation and I thought it would be easy to match and a stylish way to get some sun protection. I wasn't really sure what size I would be, and I ordered a size small. The small fit, and if it is windy, there is a hidden adjustment strap under the sweat band which I am super excited about! It is well made, and a super flattering hat. Although I bought it for vacation, I am sure that this hat will be making many other appearances.

I sent that back and got another small, and it was perfect, and I love it. I recommend buying in store so you can try it on and look over the hat for any fraying straw pieces first. That said, shipping was fast, well packaged, and Nordstrom as always has an A+++ for easy returns, so I’m glad it worked out. I got the beige and black. I usually do not write reviews, but I stopped and had to share! I love straw hats but usuually they do not hold up or become unflatteringly "floppy"! This hat is the best! It holds it's shape and is adjustable. I read all the reviews and looked at all of the photos, it looked great on EVERYONE! This hat has been my "go to" hat on the daily! This will elevate your outfit and will look stunning at the pool! My head measured 22" I bought the small.
This hat is perfect. It is sturdy as other people mentioned. It arrived in perfect condition with a protective strip over the grosgrain band. Also there is an adjustable velcro strap underneath the sweat band on the inside. It is very difficult to find x-large womens hats, so I was extremely happy to find this in stock in x-large. Please keep Brixton x-large hats in stock!
