My current go to - summer shoe. This is my third pair in about four years. For those of you with significant foot related issues, I highly recommend the Addiction Walker or Addiction Walker II. Without this shoe, I am in a world of hurt. I would suggest some more color options, and restyling the leather version, which is getting rather dated. Also the soles could benefit from more lateral traction to avoid slipping sideways . PS - tried to buy a pair on the internet for about half the price - it was a scam!

After hip replacement, three anterior dislocations, and revision to the hip replacement, I am walking VERY little, needing considerable strength building. This is a stable platform, and I am entirely pleased with it. However, the sole is more likely to trap small debris and is harder to clean than a lug sole would be. And, I would LOVE to find a shoe built on a rocker last!

I wear these daily for general wear as well as sports wear for golf and tennis and they have been amazing. Podiatrist recommended as i over pronate and have an underlying issue with a stress on a muscle next to groin which has hampered me from playing my sports for 2 years. The Addiction literally did whatever it did and I was pain free the next morning. So I have decided to wear them day in day out since receiving them in January.I have since bought 2 more pairs of these and 1 pair of the Beast 20 and rotate them. I truly never thought a pair of "sneakers" would get me back on a tennis court and golf course after seeing chiropractors and physios for the last 2 years with no result.Great shoe imo.

First, I love Brooks shoes. This is my 1st time to rate, but this pair was my 5th pair of Brooks Shoes (and I just ordered Adrenaline 21's for my 6th pair).I work in Food Service and am constantly on my feet. I have Achilles Tendinitis and Bone Spurs in both heals. Brooks has helped my feet recover when not at work with my Transcend 4, Transcend 5, Adrenaline 20, and Beast 20 shoes.I was hoping these "Slip Resistant" Addiction Walker Suedes would help while at work. They are slip resistant, but definitely not Oil & Slip Resistant. I probably wouldn't fall in the kitchen, but it's not 100% safe there either. I slowly slide around corners. These are the least comfortable of the 5 pairs I have, but I get it that sacrifices have to be made in weight and comfort to ... MoreFirst, I love Brooks shoes. We need help!
I’ve worn your original Addiction Walker (leather) several times over the past few years. I deal with plantar fasciitis for years and that’s why I liked your Addiction Walker. But living in Florida it’s a hot shoe in summer. So when I saw your Addiction Walker in suede. Figured it would be cooler. I’m a 11 2X. I found this shoe to be very tight around my entire foot and my big toe touched the front of the toe box. I found them to be very uncomfortable. I was surprised and I returned them to Zappos. I’ll stick with my Dyad ll’s
I’m a long time Brooks customer but find this Addiction walking shoe model is for causal walking only, not for walking workouts as I had hoped. The cushioning and support is not adequate. I’ve had better success using my Beast and Addiction running shoes for walking workouts as they provide better stability, fit and comfort for the same price. Also, styling and color options for this walking shoe skews older and more orthopedic looking.
Good shoe overall. I purchased because of history with this brand and what appeared to be same model. Very close to same.Like style of shoes with lace "holes" rather than "loops" for lace to go through. I seem to need wide longer shoes but not really wide up higher. I went with this pair as no Size 15 available. Holes allow easier to tighten over/ around top of foot/ ankle, and don't break over time. So far seems to work. I remove lace from lowest set of holes so the shoe doesn't squeeze my foot bed. I think if I could have gotten size 15 would not have had to do this. Not good tread for wet, rough surfaces.Hope this review helps someone.Note: normally wear orthopedic inserts. Appear may not fit. Have not tried to use them with inserts. My fault because I took ... MoreGood shoe overall. I purchased because of history with this brand and what appeared to be same model. I recently ordered a pair of Addiction Walker Suede in 11 Wide to replace the exact shoes I bought 3 years ago. When they showed up, I tried them on, and discovered they were 1/2 size too short! Even though they were the exact same size of what I am wearing.I returned the shoes to Brooks, and received a refund. Now, I am really reluctant to order another pair online because I can't trust that the sizing will be correct. Love the shoes, but they still gotta fit!
I've had previous versions of the leather Addiction Walker for several years and they are an excellent everyday office shoe and even hiking shoe. This suede version and the current sole design is kind of a hybrid between an athletic shoe and hiking shoe; and I love it. Oddly, I initially bought these for golf, the sole is perfect [much better than an athletic shoe] for not tearing up greens and the comfort is unmatched in any golf shoe I'm aware of. I usually wear a running shoe as my everyday go-to, but I find these to be replacing them more and more. While not quite as light, they are extremely comfortable and much more versatile.
I am a Walker. I have been buying these shoes from Brooks for more than 0 years. It is time for a design or at least a color change. I definitely like the protected rubber toe. Most of the new runner shoes do not have this toe and the shoe does not wear as well for me.It also may be time for more cushion in the heel. For the coments below, I do wear the 2EE.PS: I do use the leather Brooks Walkers in the Winter.
