I brought these as they were cheaper than the 15s that i've racked up 750 miles in so far this year. Very comfortable shoe and incredibly durable. I am going to use the 14s in my shoe rotation for the 2024 year as a general workhorse shoe.My pair of ghost 15s has lasted over 700 miles and I am impressed as compared to other running shoes they do not feel dead yet and the materials around the Upper shoe and sides of the shoe almost look new.I will be sticking with brooks again for the forseeable future as they have proven that their shoes can go the distance and don't need to be replaced every 400 miles like some other brands.

I traditionally get the black because the grime doesn't show up so bad and I can wear them as casual shoes with jeans and a t-shirt. This purchase I got the grey and the grime showed up quickly.

So, I’ve suffered—and I mean that emphatically—suffered with plantar fasciitis for several years. Surgery in 2021 right foot. Got better but not perfect. Another big cortisone shot. Left foot surgery 2023. Long recovery with persisting tendinitis. Finally after spending HUNDREDS on Hokas, ASICS, New Balance, OnCloud, & Oofos…I tried another expensive shoe in these Brooks. This was the best price I found & with Zulily credit card I broke it down into 3 payments. I’m an RN working 12 hour shifts on these terrible feet. These sneakers have saved my feet. I use my custom orthotics in them. My feet haven’t been this happy in years. I did size up a half size & got wide so I knew the insoles would fit. I now bought a second pair for home usage (my work shoes stay at work). ... MoreSo, I’ve suffered—and I mean that emphatically—suffered with plantar fasciitis for several years. Having recently swapped allegiances from Mizuno to Brooks I’ve been quite happy with the Glycerin Stealthfit, Ghost Max and now these Ghost 14. I’ve kind of gone the other way by buying the newer model shoes first and then back to the Ghost 14 - but that’s because they were on a killer sale! I went for the Ghost 14 in a knit build due to shoes sometimes rubbing on outer of 3rd toe, and there is a lot of give here in these to not have this happen. I would run at least 200k a month. They are a well built shoe and due to me needing a 3/4 orthotic it fits quite well so I can still use the spongy inner sole that comes with the shoe. I’m sure there are similar runners out there like me who are glad we can still use the recommended inner sole and not a full orthotic swap. ... MoreHaving recently swapped allegiances from Mizuno to Brooks I’ve been quite happy with the Glycerin Stealthfit, Ghost Max and now these Ghost 14. I’m sure there are similar runners out there like me who are glad we can still use the recommended inner sole and not a full orthotic swap. So a good roomy toe box (in the narrow sizing) and have found the Glycerin Stealthfit to be even more roomy in the toe box which is great. I’m sure the Ghost 14 will last a long time. Has great tread on outer sole that won’t wear out quickly, where newer shoes these days are compromising on this to create lighter shoes. So I’m glad I picked up the Ghost 14. And great colourways too.
After some research I started wearing Ghost about 4 years ago after getting blisters from the Glyrcerin model. The Ghost was said to have a wider toe box and generally roomier fit so I thought I'd try it. I am no marathon runner, I run 5km twice a week, I am closer to 50yrs old than I am 40yrs old and weigh in around 100kg. I've not considered another shoe since. I buy approximately 2 pairs a year as I like the new soft feel. Ghost fit me perfectly. Along with my own bit of research I used the shoe finder on the Brooks website and it seemingly has guided me to the right shoe.
I'm looking for both comfort and durability in a shoe and so far it seems like this has both. First thought was that it was a bit narrow through the midfoot and that the toe box could be a bit wider (I got a 2e size), but after about 30km I'm not having any issues. I also appreciate the full coverage of rubber on the sole - a lot of shoes are minimising this for the sake of weight, but I think this takes away versatility (ie forget about anything not on a sealed surface). Envisage doing plenty of km in these comfortably.
I recently got back into walking and jogging. I was reccomended Brooks. I had a fitting at Athletes foot and the Adrenaline GTS were reccomended to me. I ordered the Adrenaline GTS online. Whilst the shoes were good quality and good looking, they had too much support and were causing pain. I then purchased these Ghost which have a Neutral support, and they are perfect. Not much breaking in, comfy, supportive and great looking. Will certainly be getting more Brooks in the future.
My first Brooks going from ASICS. Was not ready for how tough they would be. Very little cushioning - to the point where I tried changing out the insoles to no avail. Somehow they make me feel like I've never ran in my life. All sorts of different muscles hurting - the top of my foot specifically - so much so that I can't run faster than 6:30-7:00min/km (when I usually do 5min/km). Have reserved them for slow long runs, but overall really disappointed with how drastically different they have been compared to my no-research ASICS nimbus 24's. After a pathetic parkrun in them, I went out and bought nimbus 26's and vowed to never run for speed in my brooks again.
I go to BFT 5 days a week and use orthotics in my shoes. By far the best shoe I’ve worn for orthotics and this model shoe feels good under foot across the entire BFT program. I have the all black colour design which goes well with all my gym gear and doesn’t show dirt or scuffs. I’ve given 4 out of 5 , I think there’s improvement to go with the overall look of the shoe. Performance and comfort spot on , but I’ve had Nikes/ ASICS that look visually better , these just work really well for me with orthotics.
Purchased the Ghost 14s as they were on special. Went in store (Athletes Foot) to try them (Ghost 15s). Salesperson advised the 14s are essentially the same shoe, but older model.Sizing is perfect. A bit snug on the width and on the toes initially, but after a few runs, shoe has 'molded' my feet. Cushioning is perfect. Feels like I'm running on clouds. Legs, feet and knees don't feel sore after a run. Massive difference compared to my cheap runners. I'm able to run regularly without dreading the pain afterwards. 100% worth the investment.
