This printer has many features with a great price!! Duplex scan/copy/print! I wish the LCD display can be bigger on the printer. The s/w driver is easy to use on my Windows laptop. Wireless and LAN set up are easy. Remote scan to cloud and to my laptop are very handy. The short cut features save my time. I wish they allow me to set up more shortcut on the printer and on my laptop. The feeder has one issue, it doesn't always feed in the page in right angle. The auto skew correction option helps a little. The OCR PDF file format allows search in the PDF file. Print speed is very fast. Toner is very affordable. This is a great replacement for my inkjej printer. No more ink on my hand, no more cleaning and no more dry print head... Overall I like this scanner/printer very much, except for 2 MAJOR flaws. 1) When you place a paper on the glass against the raised edges (to make it square) the scanner cuts off the edge of the print on the document by about 1/8 inch. To copy the entire document, you have to lay the paper away from the edges and try to make it square. I had the same problem with a previous Brother scanner. 2) Why does Brother think they have the right to tell me what to name my documents? In the Control Center under File Name Style, there is no option that lets me just put in the name I want; it requires that the name ALWAYS be appended with something else (date, counter, etc). The old software did not do this. So every document I scan I have to then change the name to what I want ... MoreOverall I like this scanner/printer very much, except for 2 MAJOR flaws. 1) When you place a paper on the glass against the raised edges (to make it square) the scanner cuts off the edge of the print on the document by about 1/8 inch. The duplex color or black-and-white scanning capability works well, as does the double-sided black-only laser printing capability. One major flaw is that the one-sheet override tray for a manual paper feed is impossible to line up with an 8.5" x 11" piece of paper such that printing is not skewed. Skewing happens about 9 out of 10 times regardless of the care and effort I take to line up a sheet being fed and regardless of paper weight. Skewed printing also happens with envelopes fed via the override tray. I've concluded that I should only use the main 250-sheet casette tray for 8.5" x 11" printing, which would be problematic in a shared environment, and to accept the print skewing for envelopes. For a home or small office that only needs to laser print in black but ... MoreThe duplex color or black-and-white scanning capability works well, as does the double-sided black-only laser printing capability. I have been using this for about 10 days now which is not necessarily very long but I have done a lot of printing and scanning over the last week. This machine is awesome. Easy to set up but I am still old school and wire it into my laptop docking station. Two sided copies saves paper and two sided scanning is so much more convenient. The only thing I have run into is that when I have a large doc to scan (just scanned a doc that was 154 pages), something is running out of memory to save to my computer. I don't think its the computer because this has never happened before. But, found a workaround. You can save directly to a cloud storage (dropbox, one drive, etc). I use this for a home office. Super choice.
This is my first new print in over a decade. Trusty old Samsung 2250 finally died and I decided to go Multi-Function. I didn’t want to spend a lot for an MFD, so I knew I wouldn’t get blazing speeds or commercial level functionality. Performance is great for the low volume needs we have (<50 pages printed per month) and I like being able to scan to PDF sent to email or my NAS. Double-side scans and printing is also nice to have at home since I’m WFH for good now. The only concern I have is that this devices only supports sending emails through Brother’s host. Which has much lower attachment size limits than my cloud hosted private email server. And, what happens when Brother shuts down their service, will they update the firmware so I can use my own host (a feature ... MoreThis is my first new print in over a decade. Our Oki laser printer finally died after 10+ years of service on the family network and after much research, I selected the Brother MFC-L2750DW as its replacement based on reputation and features. It is our first multi-function printer. The 3 features that made the sale were wireless network connection, Apple AirPlay compatibility and duplex printing/scanning (2-sides). Setup for printing was easy and after a bit of effort, I was able to setup a shortcut in the printer interface for scanning to a folder on our Google Drive, which is an amazing integration. Have tested 2-sided printing, single sheet label printing and the copier function, all working great. Feed tray for scanning has saved me hours of time doing record keeping for my volunteer work. Exactly what I was looking for—a reasonably priced laser all-in-one! Most people get a laser to manage high quantities of print jobs. I’m just the opposite. I typically only print once per month—maybe 10 pages. I print so infrequently that inkjet cartridges and print heads would dry up and clog. I used most of my inkjet ink in the head cleaning cycle, not to mention the blood pressure raising wait while the ink eating cleaning cycle was running repeatedly! Toner doesn’t dry up!!! An added bonus is that the occasional need to print from my phone is accomplished in a seamless manner. Very satisfied with this printer!
This review is for the Brother MFC L2750DW. Where to start...this machine works well if all you need is a direct USB connection to your computer. The wireless setup is a VERY DIFFERENT MATTER. I'm no dummy to computers or printers, but this thing is needlessly complex and confusing and may force you into a baptism of fire to get it working wirelessly! (My Canon MF 232w was so EASY, almost automatically paired itself to the computer in the wireless setup) Upon every failure to setup the 2750 correctly, it spits out an error report without permission, ensuring the waste of paper and toner, THANK YOU BROTHER! Some day I may finally get it working wirelessly but probably by trial and error. It's a good machine, but conditionally. I would not recommend it due to the wireless setup headache. 2 stars overall, maybe 5 if brother goes to Canon and learns what they have long ago mastered, simple common sense.
I purchased the MFC-L2750DW at Staples about 6 months ago and have used it regularly since then. It has been exceptionally reliable, only 2 paper jams since purchased. I mostly print from PC and Mac, but I occasionally scan to PDF (which magically appears on my PC desktop) and make copies. I particularly like the duplex printing feature, which saves on paper, and the ability to scan both sides of the original in one pass. The document feeder just works, never a problem. I connect to it exclusively via wi-fi and have had no problems with drop outs. I also print on pre-formatted checks from Quicken, which sometimes involves printing on a sheet of paper which is shorter than 8.5x11. That can be a little difficult to extract from the output bin after printing, but you ... MoreI purchased the MFC-L2750DW at Staples about 6 months ago and have used it regularly since then. That can be a little difficult to extract from the output bin after printing, but you can also redirect the output to a rear tray for easier retrieval. Probably not ideal if you print a lot of envelopes or off-size paper. The included toner cartridge is not meant to last long, but I got 6 months and 650 pages out of it. With the new TN-760 cartridge, I expect to get years of use before needing to change it again. MUCH cheaper than ink cartridges! So overall, I've been very happy with this printer.
I bought this to replace my much older Brother 2270 printer. Athough that one printed well, the wireless never functioned well and was very hard to set up or connect. Eventually the printer stopped functioning, erroneoulsy sending "open cover" error messages and freezing even though the cover was not open. I ditched for this one, and wish I had done that a long time ago. This printer is fantastic, and a huge improvement. Print quality is great, but most importantly the functionality is perfect. Wireless connectivity was easy and smooth to set up, and works perfectly. Very happy with it, and highly recommended.
