The automated stitch settings make changing between stitches a no-brainer and quicker to work with.The needle is automated to finish in the up position which is another great time-saving feature. Less fiddling and less likelihood for the thread to jam up – awesome.The speed control is great too. Need to work slowly on a delicate area, turn the speed down. Ripping down straight leg seams, no problem! Turn up the speed control. Not the fastest machine on the market but generally good.It has an accessibility button which is great if you have physical limitations such as arthritis, stiff ankles ... Some computerised machines aren't the best for thicker fabrics, I'm careful to not stress the machine out (and I don't sew too many layers together) Slinky fabrics like jersey or spandex not ideal, but can work in between tissue.Great for a beginner to advanced. Although advanced sewists may prefer something faster. One downside is that sometimes the fabric can get stuck in the plates.Otherwise easy and quick to setup. Love the threading mechanism! For a small machine it is a great performer. I liked it so much I bought a second one and gave it to my daughter who also loves it. The price doesn't reflect it's inherent quality and is well engineered. I have acquired some accessories since buying it and they seem readily available; which is a good thing.
My new machine is doing everything it promised to do very nicely. I had a problem getting underneath cotton jangled initially, not sure what I did wrong, but we have got on well since then.
My 34 year old much loved sewing machine finally died and I dreaded replacing it. If I had only known how easy and enjoyable the NS15 is to use I would have brought it much sooner.
I purchased this machine as a stand by machine so I do not have to take my larger one to my craft classes. It is easily portable and has many of the features of my other Brother machine such as the press start/stop button which I love so much. I love its compact features and range of stitches which easily meet my needs for all of my away from home crafting/sewing projects. The built in needle threader works perfectly every time. I can totally recommend this machine for its ease of use, quality and pure enjoyment factor to anyone contemplating purchasing it.

My original Brother sewing machine was 32years old, it was time to update and retire the work horse.This machine is so quiet! The reverse is perfect and always runs back over the stitch line. I do use the foot pedal but being able to start sewing by pressing a button is amazing. Brother’s drop in bobbins and one step button holes can never be beaten, they are just the best. Still getting familiar with all the features of NS15, but love what I have used so far. Would I recommend this sewing machine, for a beginner and moderate sewer, Yes, most definitely
